Every time my son does the evening barn chores and forgets to check for eggs I want to deduct from his allowance. Eggs left in the barn overnight have been freezing and cracking and then just get fed to the pigs. Those butt nuggets are too valuable to waste.

There’s one Campbell’s vegetable soup I like, of course 98% of the time when I’m buying it I can’t remember which one I like and undoubtedly (like tonight) end up buying the wrong one. Tonight’s is vegetables with beef, I think tomorrow I’ll go buy one of each I can find to solve my dilemma.

Ok friends, and random people of Bluesky. When thinking of sapphic literature of course we’ve heard of Sappho but who else in historical literature, I’m thinking anything pre-1960’s has written about lesbian love?

I really hope the weather folks are wrong about all the snow they’re predicting for this weekend because I need to go see the new Captain America movie

Why did I wait so long to start watching The Diplomat?

Of course i procrastinated and left a bunch of homework to do today (it’s due at midnight), and then when I sit down to actually work on it one of my toddlers absconds with my iPad to play her Bluey game.

I’m pretty sure the person in the motel room above me has been walking back and forth across the room for two hours. And of course it makes the floor/ceiling squeak constantly.

That’s fucking horrible. I had a tubal during my c section for my 4th kid. Had talked about it with my Dr. He never questioned my decision, just made sure I was informed. He asked again right before he did it to make sure I still wanted to and it was done. So grateful for the respect he showed me.

Three days until I’m in San Francisco, looking forward to meeting new people and exploring a new city. And seeing Kathryn Hahn of course.

Anybody else really like A Discovery of Witches? I saw the show when it originally aired and just recently started listening to the audiobooks. Now rewatching the show, like most things the books are better but I still really like the show.

Two of the toddlers are staying the night at their older sisters house tonight so I should be doing homework but instead I’m rewatching A Discovery of Witches

Walked into the room my 3 year old is in and startled her. She said “you fuckin scared me”. Had to try to hide my chuckle before we had a talk about naughty words.

Going to San Francisco next week and I just really miss traveling and socializing with Earpers. I never worried about being judged, fussed over what clothes to wear or stressed about being accepted. I always felt comfortable and loved. I miss it.

Well, we’re heading into three extremely cold days and our furnace took a shit. Hopefully we can get someone out to look at it tomorrow.

Does anyone I know have any Agatha All Along shirt designs on teepublic or redbubble or anywhere?

Anybody else ever call in to work and then still leave like they’re going to work and just stay gone until they should be getting home from work? Great time to run errands, go for a hike, go to a movie, etc. Also, can you tell from this that my mental health isn’t great right now?

If you have Bluey loving kids like I do Walmart has these 4 character packs on sale for $4, they show $14 on the shelf but if you price check with the app you can see it. I just got 3 different sets for $12 total. #Bluey

Need to find a new home for our puppy. Jack Russel terrier, unfixed male. Has had his first shots. Great with little kids and other dogs, not meant to be a farm dog. In Michigan.

Do any of my friends have a 3d printer? I’m considering buying one this spring but know extremely little about them. Would love any advice.

Just can’t be on that other app, it’s such a steaming pile of 💩 So many conspiracies about the fires, videos supposedly showing bodies, etc and reporting things doesn’t work.

Talked to someone the other day about my hiking plans and she was like oh you stay busy and I realized how true it is to an almost stupid point. Working full time, 3 toddlers and 1 teenager, taking 6 college credits, having a 30 acre farm, and a rampant hiking habit on a trail 2 hours from my house

I am super dreading going back to work tomorrow. I know that I am so lucky and blessed to have had two and a half weeks off mostly with pay but it’s just been so nice to be home with the kids in the evenings. I’m going to miss bedtime snuggles with my babies.

I should really get going on things. I’ve got 46 minutes before someone comes over. Farm animals need to be fed, watered, and chicken coops opened. I need a quick shower and get me and two toddlers dressed, fed, and ready for the day. Need to clean up living room a bit and maybe vacuum it. Ugh.

I know this might not be available or affordable to everyone but if you are interested check with your township about owning chickens. I’ve talked to people who are living in town or in subdivisions and allowed to have 3 or 4 hens as long as you have no rooster.

Had a great time at the Detroit Pistons game tonight with my son, since our tickets were part of a large group deal we each got a free Pistons hat and got to shoot a free throw after the game. And they won so it was a pretty good night.

Getting our pig back from the processor today. I’m excited and nervous since this is the first pig we’ve bred, raised, and finished ourselves. Hoping for some quality pork out of him.

My clearance Hallmark ornaments came in the mail today! Already had the Funko one but couldn’t pass up the chance to get another for just $5

My favorite things about starting a new year is new hiking goals/plans, planning vacations for the upcoming year, and planning the random things I’m going to spend my profit sharing on when it hits my bank account the end of February (it’s paying for me and my son to go to EarpFest this year).

I’m over here looking up blog posts of how to make the most natural laundry soap for my family but also set my son on a mission to research 3d printers so he can make me cute tiny animal toys from plastic 🤷🏼‍♀️

My mom lives on a big horse farm in an apartment that adjoins the largest barn. The other night she thought the cat was scratching on the door that leads to the barn wanting inside but when she opened it to let her in she found a big ass possum outside the door.

I kind of wish I hadn’t already listened to the audible for this season/book of Outlander though because I vividly know how different it is

If you’re enjoying this season of Outlander you should ABSOLUTELY read the book also, there is so much more in the book and some great scenes that were left out of the TV show. Also in the books Jamie’s sister Jenny travels to America with him

I don’t have much time for reading but I listen to audible at work pretty frequently. It’s so nice because I do love books and miss having the time to read. I have probably a dozen paperbacks I bought last year but haven’t gotten to and I’ll buy a physical book and the audible quite often.

Every episode of White Lies end with me dying to see what happens next.

I need my kid to go to bed so I can watch the next episode of White Lies

The struggle of grocery shopping when your toddler is autistic and only eats a few foods. Two big boxes of Cap’n Crunch Oops All Berries is going home with her.

I haven’t even been hiking in over a month but I’m thinking of signing up for a resolution run 5k for Saturday. I doubt I can run 3 miles (mostly because it bores me to death to run/walk city streets) but I’m sure I can walk it at a decent pace.

Well I didn’t get a mini highland cow like I’d hoped for but I did get to take a nap for Christmas so that’s pretty spectacular.
