My google search of the day: "what is the typical size of a coffin?" #dmWoes #DontReadMySearchHistory #DND

A recent Discord exchange between myself and a player. DM: On the last night during your travel through the Asari wood, you are on wathc and you notice a raven fly down from a tree and perch upon a rock. As it stands and looks at you, it is joined by several more.

“There is a direct line between getting out of bed and dying. I knew someone who got out of bed one morning and 47 years later to the day, dead.” “I don’t suppose this person was also known to drink water?” “You know, I never considered the connection. The world is out to get you, I swear.”

The moment when you identify the perfect "troll" for your players for the coming #DnD game just before Christmas... You come to a door that is small. It is shorter than normal and you need to stoop to get through if you are not a gnome. Inside you find a room that is much much larger...

Travel to the reddish brown temple and seek out the blushing equus caballus for guidance. She holds the key to the dragon’s lair. #ttrpg #DnD #DnDPuzzles #PopReferences

The Shadow Empire is controlled by an old (but not ancient) Adult Blue Dragon. His Dragonkin followers maintain a strict social hierarchy with the Blue Dragonkin holding any positions of power. Other chromatic Dragonkin make up the 'middle class' of merchants, artisans, etc.

It is a well appointed dungeon bedroom. A metal frame bed that looks more comfortable than any inn you’ve seen. A dressing table with mirror. A wardrobe made of rare wood. A potted plant. A bear skin rug that really ties the room together. #DnD #TheDude #TTRPG

Me as DM: Of course I would never make something up in game and not write it down for later. My Notes: "Stone door, moss, juicy carved in it" 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ #TTRPG #DND #DMWoes

You find yourself tumbling through a tight and twisting conduit. There are balls of light flashing by as you twist and turn. Suddenly you emerge, lying on the floor and looking up at Thennoran who smiles: “welcome back to Sigil, we didn’t expect you so soon”. And that is where we will pause tonight.

Quote of the night: Well, I will try and be an ethical necromancer. #DnD

The City of Ilya sits along the Faldir River, a minor trading point for towns and villages north and west of it. It also sits atop the intersection of ancient lay lines that cause magic to act a little funny. Run by the Council of Elders, and lead by the First Elder.

Took a break from Mapwork for a bit of something else. "Lighting the Way" Dyson Logos, 30 November 2023.
