You know how folks say things have to get worse before they get better? Worse than what? Genocide? Starvation? Living outside? Deportations? Mass incarcerations? Widespread poverty? Authoritarian billionaire regimes? Persecuting dissent? We need better now. When's better coming?

Learning about a candidate in your riding on the news means that representation does not exist. Candiates should be people you know, who care, who show up, who have demonstrated this, & who you choose to represent you. Not backroom, corrupt picks by parties making choices for you

Snap elections undermine grassroot collectivizing. They remove the ability to make grounded, sound, community connected, informed decisions, to generate candidates that speak to those efforts, & intervene on the status quo big wealthy parties that pretend different but do same.

The McMaster Office of Community Engagement Team at CER Day 2025! What an amazing group.

Ontario judge grants injunction to keep consumption sites open for now www.thestar.com/news/ontario...

The new economy will be us eating things and cutting up bars of soap or making clicky noises on tiktok for views. I am not trusting the war words as a solution to anything.

How did we get convinced that political parties & leaders that fundamentally rely on the same foundational neglect of those most in need (often with funded attacking), who cherish, & expand exploitation, ignore environment, & campaign on inequity, are different & competing?

"It is not a dead society that we want to revive. We leave that to those who go in for exoticism. Nor is it the present colonial society that we wish to prolong, the most putrid carrion that ever rotted under the sun. It is a new society that we must create" Aimé Césaire

The idea that one could spend decades in a job, provided for via tax dollars & never create one piece of policy & then run a campaign on "tax cuts" should be enough subterfuge to open a black hole. Yet, he is running adds with exactly that as a platform...for Prime Minister.

Ontario. Another racist violent attack trying to set a woman on fire by her hijab. The racist violence is getting worse & the organized hate stoked on platforms is ignored. www.cp24.com/local/durham...

In the blink of an eye a trade war becomes mass military spending.

Friends, we often get asked two questions: - How can we join as a member in Disability Justice Network of Ontario? - How can we support DJNO's work? 1/4

Your life should be more liveable. Affordable, workable, loveable, joyful, pleasureable, fulfilling, striving. That life is what we should be aiming for. Not criminalizing, punishing, hating, war-ing, taking, ruining.

Detentions & deportations are so expensive that they made up a fake cost recovery program to hide it that cannot actually get any monies back unless a deported person actually comes back to Canada & has the $3800-$12800(escorted removals) to pay. All for fake fearmongering racism.

Do good work, with good people, for better things. Take breaks. Take time to relax. Try to feel joy where you can. Laugh. Care. There is always more to do. We need many of us to do it.

"World’s top 1% own more wealth than 95% of humanity", a racialized disparity as "Global South countries own just 31 percent of global wealth, despite being home to 79 percent of global population". The people in need are not the problem. www.oxfam.org/node/24875

They attacked a young Black man, beat him, set their pitbull on him, sliced his head open with a knife, referenced Hitler, yelled "white power", & Nazi saluted. In Ontario, Canada, a few months ago. A headline & article that offers no peace to so many. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

He is doing whatever he wants. No courts, no laws, no opposition party, no other nation to date is impeding his violent terror regime.

You know what happens when you manage your nation like a bank? You get exploited for profit and invested in atrocity. Like a bank!

A University that revokes degrees for thinking is not one.

Thank you Mercy Gichuki for this incredible contribution. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

Knowledge & education have always been dangers to racist, fascist, totalitarian regimes. In the times of their expansion & rule, even moreso. If you signed up for something else, you should probably think that over & do that instead. We have work to do.

People in positions of domination, across sectors, with the vast majority of wealth are still able to claim that the most marginalized groups are a threat, deserving of publicly funded persecution, & that knowledge of this is somehow a threat too. The fraudulence must be stopped.

Did Americans clue into the fact that they have no government and a ruling despot now?

The best protection against measels is the vaccine. Attacking people in need is bad for them. Criminalizing protest is not free speech. The sun is hot. Ice is cold. This is life now. Wtf.

This headline is messed up. Someone attacked a homeless man with a knife who was trying to access shelter! Maybe folks need think about how their violent rhetoric towards criminalizing homeless people, spending public funds, & making policy to do so HARMS people! www.thespec.com/news/hamilto...

I do not think he is trying to make anything great. It is active work to create unrest and volatility, smash and grab.

Hamilton Police violated a person's Charter Rights Judge rules Police engaged "racial bias" during a vehicle stop and search, and says police testimony was not credible. As a result, Judge states they are forced to exclude drugs and gun evidence, rule not guilty #HamOnt

How long until he enters with evil theme music?

Fired up white nationalism is probably not the solution.

Maybe a more caring and loving world will emerge. Maybe, if we make it that way.

Friends, in a time of wider uncertainty, we cannot put aside those most marginalized in our communities: disabled, unhoused folks deserve dignity in Hamilton and everywhere in Ontario. Our letter to Hamilton City Council: v.gd/Oq3kJX

We are in desperate need of leaders to step up who can offer more than adjustments to prior conservative policies like ODSP, or make false claims that "family Doctors" are the solution to our healthcare crisis, or that rebates make life affordable. Those platforms lack a broader vision for change.

This is a real Hamilton headline. The people in need of housing entirely removed from the discourse. Now its about tents & cops at any cost. An open death/eradication project. The years of work for "human rights-based" & "housing first" approaches openly disposed of. www.thespec.com/news/hamilto...

The vile racism being stoked about the election is bad enough. The silence from those who claim to oppose racism, must have some really big feels about how they benefit from it.

No, not solidarity with the folks that hate workers, people with low income, unhoused people, disabled people, racialized people, trans and queer people. That was not the assignment.

When terrible folks get elected, terrible things happen. So, prepare for terrible.

The fraudulent political performances of allyship in the last five years with those that experience racism have been revealed as such.

F$&@! F$&@!

Imagine knowing that over 11k people died waiting for healthcare, that scandals, investigations, collapsing higher education systems, unaddressed poverty producing income support programs & rapidly expanding homelessness did not stop this. Vote for your lives. www.thestar.com/politics/pro...

If you just call it criminalization first or death first, then you may not have to spend so much time lying about what you are doing.

Beating drums for enforcement and spending to coerce, chase, threaten, remove people living outside, will only end in bad. All around bad.

No, you do not need to take incentives from developers to hand over public monies for their private profit & claim that your unaffordable units are some kind of solution to homelessness. No, you do not need to do that. It is not required. It is not necessary. That is a lie.

@kojodampteyondp.bsky.social was Co-Chair the Community Safety & Wellbeing plan for #HamOnt, defended the greenbelt via stop sprawl, worked with DJNO, on Just Recovery, was ED of HCCI, works in higher education, cares about those living outside. Racist dogwhistles can't silence that.
