This Josh Johnson set has been living in my head. Broadly, I think he’s so important - a comedian that mixes laughs, philosophy, and social commentary with absolutely masterful narrative construction - but this set is really special. Check him out if you haven’t yet. youtu.be/TgKsG6NZSIo?...

I bought the cactuar knit crop and mini skirt from the BlackMilk Final Fantasy collection. I see cactuar, and I must have it. I don’t make the rules set by my singular neuron, I simply follow. Anything cactuar. Or tonberry. Anything cactuar or tonberry.

Yesterday at the gym I was preparing to lock out 115lb over my head, standing on a block of wood because I’m short. I was whining about it being wobbly. Our trainer was like YOU NEVER COMPLAIN WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING and I was like I’M SCARED and he’s like STOP COMPLAINING LIFT THE WEIGHT so I did.

I’m a bit of an SNL tragic - when I was in high school, all I wanted to do was move to NY and attend Second City. So I’m enjoying the 50th anniversary special. Adam Sandler’s bit was brilliant, he’s so great at swinging from hilarious to sincere and vulnerable. And Meryl Streep! 😂

Today is the closest thing I’ve ever had to a university graduation day. This week has been the most fulfilling learning experience I’ve ever had. I can’t even begin to describe the conversations and connections I’ve made. I’m so grateful, and excited to apply it all for my beloved Blizzard. 💙💚🧡❤️

Microsoft is feel generously sending me to a week-long intensive PR/comms program at USC, it starts tomorrow. I’ve never been to an American university before - to me, they are fictional places that only exist in media, specifically comedies from the 90s/early 2000s. I’m so excited to learn things ☺️

Rain in Southern California, finally.

Playing a necromancer this season in @diablo.blizzard.com. Her name is FallOutGirl because she’s an emo with lots of feelings. Sugar, we’re going down.

Things I have been doing for the first time that everyone has been doing for ages: * playing Balatro * watching Severance

I am at a bar watching the football. We are cheering for the Lions. We are now including a dude next to us in a Lions jersey in the touchdown shots of Fireball. It’s in these moments I feel, as an Australian, most connected to Americans.

I am in Joshua Tree for a week with two friends to try to do art, try writing for myself again, and to try and actually relax. I am bad at all these things. Here is what I’ve done so far: * my friend solving a Rubix cube, watercolour * my PBR can, charcoal * the desert, gouache (not done yet)

I’m insufferable.

Flying from home ✈️ to second home. Everywhere is home now, I suppose - my heart is pulled like gravity between two places, and the aching orbits them like a moon. See you on the other side 🦅

I was having lunch and some beers at the pub and a guy started chatting to me and he was like “What do you do for a crust?” and I was like “I work at a video game company - do you play video games?” and he was like “Nah, not anymore, but I used to play StarCraft 2” and I was like OH DID YOU NOW 😂😁

Happy New Year’s Day from Australia ☺️ I got in the ocean, as is my tradition. Squint and you can see. Resolutions: * become a muscle mommy * work on art one night a week (writing, ceramics, charcoal) * quit vaping (again, properly) * get CA driver’s license * continue to work on work/life balance

Merry Christmas from Australia. Mum got me a whale, and some feathers for my hair for when I’m singing in the band so I can be like Stevie Nicks. Having mimosas at the beach and listening to SZA’s new stuff. Hope you and yours are relaxed and happy ❤️🎄

The eagle took off, rocked like a hurricane over the Pacific, and landed 15 hours later. Dead as disco but still waited for 15 minutes for a flat white at the local cafe because I have strong priorities.

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin on the Oscars shortlist for Documentary Feature! Such a beautiful (and heartwrenching) story...if you haven't already, check it out on Netflix.

I spent the week in Seattle at Microsoft HQ for a communications team week. I learned so, so much, met incredible people, made connections I can lean on later… I’m so energised for next year. Don’t get me wrong - I need a huge, inconceivably deep rest. But I’m riled up to change the world again 💙💚

I am skeeting to you live from Redmond, Washington - a location where I am consistently fighting becoming a hibernating mammal. The Microsoft mothership is very large and everyone is so nice and smart. I am learning a lot. I like looking at all the buildings, people-watching, thinking.

I have not yet posted about Blizzard Rock Band™️ playing at the holiday party because the band is so talented I could cry, and my throat held out so I didn’t let them down, and the wig did wonders to get me over my nerves, and we performed at KNOTT’S, and I’m so overjoyed it’s hard to describe 💙💙💙

We had band practice in preparation for playing the holiday party tomorrow night. I was super sick 2 days ago, so bad I took a Covid test (negative). I didn’t tell my bandmates I was sick because I was petrified of letting them down. Today I am 90% better! 🙌 But my voice died very fast tonight 🥺

Two stages of writing: 1) This shouldn't take too long 2) Oh no

I love this time of year because I think seeing someone’s Spotify Wrapped tells you more about someone than months’ worth of posts on social media ever will. It’s like staring into someone’s soul, nowhere to hide. You learn SECRETS. DREAMS. FEARS. So, in the interest of mutual vulnerability…
