There isn't enough gum on this planet for Billy Donovan to chew this shame away. #nbasky

Rescue me, THE BRUTALIST on 4K Ultra HD disc, from these doldrums of mine.

Each passing year, the pre-game "Vooch" chant gains a thousand somber "o's."

Lonzo Ball has only ever improved my life, and he will continue to do so.

The number-one comedy of 1995 is currently airing on AMC: the dubbed version of CASINO.

My girlfriend suggested Evan Peters could play Neil Young, and I cannot scrape this thought from my mind.

"Blu-rays," bellows John Lithgow, his voice echoing through the halls of man.

The Bulls...have Bullsed once again.

The state of things has me considering a double feature of FIRST REFORMED and SAFE. Don't tell my analyst.

Goodbye, Garth!

My forthcoming Coen Brothers podcast: A FOUNTAIN OF CONVERSATION (A GEYSER—I MEAN WOAH, DADDY, STAND BACK, MAN)

🎞️ David Lynch tribute at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social www.instagram.com/p/DE8LKIASiL...

A girl I knew in college saw David Lynch speak at an event. When it ended, she found a way to get to the front to tell him how much his films and shows meant to her. His response was “Thank you. And remember, the universe is in your basement.”

I unwittingly watched two great cardigan movies back to back: THE TRAIN and THE BRUTALIST.

My mind when I encounter the name of the Washington Wizards' starting small forward:

Cleaning out my Photos app. 90+ duplicate images. One triplicate, from THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE:

@chicagocta.bsky.social has evacuated X. You're up, Bulls.

A short piece on CAROL for @thirdcoastrvw.bsky.social to end the year. Here's to another yuletide, a new year, and the Drake Hotel.

Considering all the life-forms mangled in NOSFERATU, I am pleased the cats made it unscathed.

One thing about THE BRUTALIST I have not heard mentioned much: It is very funny. The laughs help keep the film from either floating away or bogging down in its ideas. This is an eye-level view of people, circumstances, and choices.

Happy golden anniversary to my favorite movie, KUM II.

The Chicago Bulls simply cannot be contained.

Love the NEIL YOUNG IN BERLIN poster taped to Dustin Hoffman's wall in ISHTAR. A relic of a master's since-reclaimed "down" period, much like May's film itself. #filmsky #musicsky

Dreamt the Bulls received Nikola Jokić in exchange for two first-round picks, Dalen Terry, and other assorted salary filler. Awoke awash in gratitude for this vision.

A delight to see Nikola Vučević once again referred to as a "stretch big" in trade columns. We live in prosperous times...

Someday I'll write at length about this movie, but its effortless storytelling and distinct lack of noise make it one of my very favorites.
