on a whim i bought my first set of lightroom presets. i'm struggling not to become jokerfied seeing how this is justThe Instagram Aesthetic and i've never been able to articulate why. left is slightly corrected digital, and the second has a preset applied, giving it that perfect kodak 400 patina.

a real sign that Instagram is dying is the number of accounts I see that post nothing but film clips with a casino/sports betting/crypto website logo superimposed at the bottom. a true marker of a company that’s given up trying to make the app an enjoyable place to spend any time.
