He nails it.

Front page of today’s NY Post

Illinois looks very different in 2025 than it did in 2019. We've passed six balanced budgets with nine credit upgrades, invested in education, driven economic growth, strengthened our social safety network, reformed the criminal justice system, and rebuilt our infrastructure.

CONNECTICUT!!!!! On Tuesday, there are two general elections! State House District 40 with Dem Anthony "Tony" Afriyie (This was an uncontested Republican district in November.) And state Senate district 21 with Dem Dan Gaiewski Early voting is tomorrow and Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM!

ILLINOIS!!!! You have consolidated municipal primaries on Tuesday!!!!! Put your address into league of women’s voters IL voter guide to see what’s on your ballot! Don’t sit this one out, municipal elections like this is where Republicans started their takeover. This is where we must start ours.

If anyone is still on Facebook, and in Minnesota, this page shares free food resources from the Twin Cities, suburbs, and many towns all over the place. I hate it's Facebook, but that's my very best resource for food help. Twin Cities Free Food Events & Resources: www.facebook.com/groups/36618...

Senate Republicans have blocked an amendment proposed by Democrats that would have prevented any tax cuts for billionaires if a single dollar of Medicaid is cut.

Not sure we should take Tracy Flick’s word for it. Not that she would know if he was using the data or not. Why not have an independent team assuring us of that possibility if it is all so clean and locked down? www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

The GOP convicted felon has launched a war on the American people & our constitution. We have guardrails to stop a rogue president. But are our lawmakers? Happy to be part of it & obey, in the foolish belief that THEY will be spared. Wait for the final irony. #Opposition #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory

Our President is weak & a joke. @senatedem.bsky.social @housedemocrats.bsky.social we must step up & fight this inanity. We do not support dictators. abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics...

Here's what Democrats did today (February 20):

substack.com/@messagebox/... Take note - you are losing your street cred.. & besides the obvious cowardice, we all effing lose bc you are suffering from fomo?!? Make this admin work - just bc they won doesn’t mean they still don’t deserve to be challenged/held to the highest standards!

You want to know what @democrats.org are up to???? Join their national call with @kenmartin.bsky.social on Monday, February 24 at 3 PM pst! democrats.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

We must relay this over & over PUTIN started the war with Ukraine! Do not let Trump change this narrative. @cbsnews.com apple.news/ACn98BI0yR1y...

Good to consider it might not just be the obvious woke trope

@kenmartin.bsky.social is not following the old DNC playbook He’s embarking on a new mission to get the DNC out of DC. He’s going to PA, WI, IL, TX and MO, with each visit being specific to that state’s situation including 1/2

There are way too many people who scream at their Dem electeds “DO SOMETHING” But when their electeds send a letter, that’s not good enough. When they introduce legislation, that’s not good enough. When they go on the news, that’s not good enough. 1/

Fact check: nearly 70 percent of US money for Ukraine actually went to US defense industry to replenish the stocks of OLD stuff that went to Ukraine to use. Much of which we would have paid to destroy as their lifespan expired.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general. If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Shirley Anita St. Hill Chisholm was the first Black woman in Congress 1968, and the first woman and Black person to seek nomination for president of the United States from one of the two major political parties 1972. She served seven terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. #BlackWomanHerstory
