I finally finished another chapter of book 3! There’s still so much left to write that it feels kind of daunting, especially because ME/CFS means I write pretty slow, but I’m still chipping away at it! And I’m really enjoying where this story is going! #booksky #writingcommunity #pwme

I don’t usually listen to music while I write, although if I’m having trouble with a scene sometimes I’ll put on a song or two that give the right kind of vibe, just to get me back on track. #NZWrites

I loved writing as a kid, got to about ten and thought that being “an author” was impossible for an ordinary person from New Zealand and stopped writing much. Wrote bad poetry as a teen. Enjoyed academic writing at school and uni. And then began writing fiction in my 30s. #NZWrites

Trying to catch up on these! My favourite genre to write is anything paranormal. For me, I think it’s easier to explore heavier themes when they’re slightly removed from the real world. But also, vampires, witches, werewolves, and magic are just fun to write about.
