It's nearing the end of the semester, and here is an easy teaching exercise related to technology ethics that I think makes a fun wrap-up. This document has the "assignment" version, but often I just do this whole thing as an in-class activity. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

A PhD journey can be lonely and challenging - it's much better to tackle it together! Join us at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where the Research Training Group "Literature and the Public Sphere" provides an excellent environment for writing a doctoral thesis 🤩 @fau.de @grk2806.bsky.social

Now up: @jtauber.com with the @digitaltolkien.com project at the #DHTD in Erlangen. So curious about this talk and thinking back to last year when students from the University of Regensburg chose to analyze networks of The Hobbit and it's fanfiction in order to find out more about character gender 🤩

Always especially wonderful to hear what former Darmstadt-DH-people are doing now 😍: Hearing @anastasiaglawion.bsky.social at #DHTD in Erlangen who shows how fanfiction is a "lab of fiction", because it takes up aspects of stories, changes them and develops them into unforeseeable directions

I made a Google quiz using the poems listed on the paper’s OSF site if you want to try your luck at guessing which are human and which are LLM. forms.gle/nGCGawDb9c6f...
