Why do some authors not summarize their findings in their abstracts? I often see something like "we analyze blabla." ... and what? What did you find!? You don't need to wait until the end of your paper to reveal the killer!

Jesus. Not been following closely, but had the impression Cuban was one of the slightly more reasonable billionaires. Boy was I wrong. Extorting Ukraine is not "negotiation". Global politics is not business.

During the pandemic times I made this set of videos (youtube.com/playlist?lis...) for my physically-based animation course. They're getting a bit long in the tooth and I'm starting to think about what version 2 should look-like.

With the level of current AI models, I'm finally coming around to the idea that what we are seeing is approaching a form of intelligence. It's not human intelligence, it's artificial. But perhaps intelligence nonetheless

German privacy laws are so absurd. It's as if they're designed to be as much of an obstacle as possible without meaningfully protecting your privacy. For example, messages from my health insurance more than 6 months old are automatically deleted in their online portal! (Not talking about EU here)
