I'm going to lose my mind a bit. It does not actually matter whether the people targeted by Trump were saintly and hyper virtuous, or not. Honestly trying to create the narrative one way or the other is suspicious! It's ultimately about this: people have rights under the law, & must be protected!

The claim that the U.S. can’t get him back is 1) false and 2) obviously a pretext for their deliberate attempt to ignore the Due process clauses of the 5th and 14th Amendments. It’s the sort of transparent deception this SCOTUS majority would see through if it came from a Democratic president.
