This new report from @artscouncilengland.bsky.social demonstrates that the creative & cultural sector is far more representative than it was a decade ago. I am proud of the commitment of the cultural sector, and the determination of the Arts Council, to achieve this major step change. #LetsCreate

The All In tiered pricing structure means improving accessibility is achievable for cultural organisations of all shapes and sizes. Our approach means All In will be free to disabled audiences and booking tickets need no longer be a performance!

Today's announcement of the All In Subscription rates for the cultural sector is an important milestone in our journey to transform access for disabled audiences. This fair and transparent approach to subscription means All In will remain free to disabled people allin.online/all-in-subsc...

Great to see the Ciisa Standards published today providing a framework for good behavioural practice across the creative industries

Delighted to hear DCMS Secretary of State Lisa Nandy announce new investment in the arts today, marking 60 years of the first ever Government White Paper on the arts introduced by Jennie Lee

Hopeful this review will also benefit the arts and artists of England

Some long awaited good news for arts & culture in England

Hearing #Conclave producer Tessa Ross say that the "world is a better place when we celebrate difference" as she collected the Best Film Award MADE this weekend's #EEBAFTAs for me. A great celebration of Film delivered by the brilliant and dedicated team at BAFTA. #ProudTrustee

"One of the great things to come out of #LetsCreate is that everybody has had to sit up and take notice of questions around quality and accessibility". And about time too. Insightful piece from @lyngardnertheatre.bsky.social

I'm celebrating 40 years of freedom and mobility today. 0n 30 January 1985 I collected my first car: a bright red Mini Mayfair supplied by Motability. I was 18 and it transformed my life. My life and career are built around the mobility it gave me. In my little red Mini there were no barriers.

Hugely looking forward to Tamara & Daniel's second season for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford & beyond

Chilled but delighted to be starting my cultural year at the opening day of Bradford's 2025 Year of Culture where I'm speaking about All In at the Access Sunmit

It's been thrilling to watch disabled people steadily taking their rightful place at the centre of our national cultural life throughout 2024. I'm excited about the potential for even more progress in 2025 & the launch of All In. Wishing my friends a happy new year. Here's to more adventures!

Warmest congratulations to my Boom! colleague Tom Baker, on his long overdue MBE in the #NewYearsHonours Now 90, it's just as well he's a Timelord...! #ForeverDoctor #DoctorWho #Patience

Great stuff this morning from Baroness Floella Benjamin on the BBC's Today programme, fighting the corner for the UK's globally leading children's media industry, to ensure children have access to high quality content across all platforms www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

A brilliant way to end the year as Leeds is announced as the pilot for All In, supported by DCMS Minister Chris Bryant and the 5 UK & Ireland arts councils. Exciting things ahead in 2025. Wishing all my friends and colleagues a peaceful winter break #WeAreAllIn www.thestage.co.uk/news/access-...

As a National Council member, I am so proud to share that Arts Council England has formally adopted the social model of disability. It's a significant policy step to remove barriers for deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people in arts & culture. www.artscouncil.org.uk/developing-c...

#CIISA has just gone live with its industry consultation of ‘The CIISA Standards'. Join the sector-specific webinars in December to hear all about them and ask questions, to find out more and register go to bit.ly/4eQTyov

Great to catch up with Floella Benjamin after many, many years at the #YoungBafta Special Award presentation for #HorribleHistories tonight

Never been very good at curating my past (and there's quite a lot of it now) but I've finally got round to setting up an IMDb page to bring together all my television work (that I can remember...) Check it out and let me know if I've passed the audition! www.imdb.com/name/nm97426...

Celebrating 30 years of our amazing National Lottery with some fellow '90s throwbacks. I'm proud to have been gleefully distributing some of that £50Billion good causes funding, one way or another, for 21 of those 30 years.

Not everyone needs access, but access needs to be available to everyone. We should never be talking about removing it My piece in The Stage today. www.thestage.co.uk/opinion/cont...
