We need to be more explicit about the fact that Republicans' top priority right now is to promote racism and reinstate segregation. We need to talk about it as we would a mechanic disabling cars' airbags. bsky.app/profile/ohio...

Getting caught up on some Oscar nominees this week. Watched A REAL PAIN two nights ago and ANORA last night. Thoughts: - Kieran Culkin has deserved all his accolades. Alternately funny and heartbreaking, Culkin's Benji exhibits bipolar disorder traits while feeling authentic, not over the top.

Had the pleasure/privilege of producing the tease for today's ABC NHL doubleheader starting w/ @detroitredwingsnhl.bsky.social vs MN Wild at 12:30pm. I'll never not get a thrill out of seeing my work air on the same network I grew up watching MNF & the 2004 Detroit Pistons win the NBA Finals on.

Very tickled by hearing "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" in this week's episode of SEVERANCE.

Low-key one of the best things about the showing of CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD I saw last night was our AMC theatre ran a *single* trailer (for Brad Pitt's F1 movie) and then the movie started.

The wife & I saw the new Captain America last night. And guess what? We liked it! I'm seeing mixed reviews & honestly I think most of the criticism of the film is overblown. Is it a perfect movie? No. Is it the worst MCU film ever? Also no. Fairly simple plot, good action, & Red Hulk is great.

Rewatching the Netflix seasons of Daredevil before the new Disney+ show debuts. I forgot how much I couldn't care less about anything related to The Hand. S2 goes downhill quickly after Frank Castle goes to prison.

TODAY is a GREAT DAY for the Detroit Tigers to sign Alex Bregman. 🤞

About a year out of college I finally landed a job doing minor league baseball play-by-play. Would've paid $2K for the summer. A day after accepting the job a prior freelance employer called offering 30 days work at $200/day. Did the math, eyed my August wedding date, called the team and said sorry.

Excellent deep dive by Justin here. If you're a Lions fan and you're not subscribed to Justin's Detroit Football Network, you're doing yourself a disservice.

It would likely take quite the haul to trade up, but imagine how fun it would be for Detroit to pair Mason Graham up with Aidan Hutchinson and Alim McNeill.

Big Lions game tonight. But before that, if you're so inclined, tune in to ABC at 3pm ET to catch the brand new "NHL on ABC" open I produced last weekend & the Rangers/Blackhawks tease I produced this weekend. Lots of Andrew Keck work will air in between 3:00pm and 3:02pm on ABC!

Every single time Dee Winters has his name called by Joe Buck I think he's saying "Dean Winters" and I picture this

Really gonna miss Ben Johnson when he leaves for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach job.

Lions are rocking the Marshmallows tonight against the 49ers. They've already won.

Charles is absolutely correct here

THANK YOU, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS!!! -Signed, All Detroit Lions Fans

Ben Johnson REALLY pulling out of his bag of tricks. On replay certainly seemed like Goff and Gibbs both purposefully pretended to stumble. Never seen that before in a football game lol

Love, love, love Jahmyr Gibbs showing patience by letting his lineman set up blocks THEN bursting through. That's football IQ.

Early results would indicate that the Detroit Lions won't be getting much help from the Washington Commanders in beating Philadelphia today.

Mildly disappointing end to the Lions' opening drive. Genuinely surprised Campbell didn't go for it on 4th and 2. Also will be curious to go back and see what happened on 3rd down because looked like Goff had an open receiver in the flat early but didn't throw it.

Are they saying Jamo spun the ball at Stevenson's feet? If so that's ticky tack at best.

Just a fantastic teaser trailer. I've watched it 5 times now and I'll watch it more times to come. The music. The imagery. The reveal of Krypto. It all plays so well. Cannot wait for this film.

sesame street isn't supposed to make money. the post office isn't supposed to make money. not everything is supposed to MAKE MONEY

Aside from Hutchinson, this is probably the injury that I'm most upset about. Not that Gibbs and Reynolds and maybe Vaki can't hold down the fort, but because Montgomery is so fun to watch. His fight-for-every-yard mentality will be missed.

May or may not have just gotten verklempt from the music alone.

Lions had a chance. They didn't give up. Have to give them credit for that.

Let's run it back in New Orleans, Bills. See you in February.

Can the Football Gods let the Lions get a takeaway on this drive? Please?

Buffalo's players and Buffalo's coaches are out-playing and out-coaching Detroit's. Plain and simple. I can't even be mad about it. Just hope the rest of the team can get out of this game healthy at this point, and hope Philly loses to Pitt.

Feels like Lions are a little lucky to only be down 7 at the half. Would've been great to take advantage of Bass' missed FG, but if Detroit can make halftime adjustments and force a Buffalo punt to open the 2nd half, I'll feel better about the outlook for this game.

Was wondering why I was seeing Kindle Vildor on the field so much today. 😑

This is why Detroit falling into a 14-0 hole is so killer. Even after the offense drives the field and cuts it to a 7-point deficit, the Bills march right back down themselves and extend their lead again. Not sure Detroit's defense has the juice to stop Buffalo today.

Whew. Jared Goff channeling his inner Josh Allen + Tim Patrick reenacting the end of Space Jam = Lions TD

And that is not the start on defense the Lions wanted. Almost had Josh Allen corralled on third down but he somehow finds Ty Johnson. Will drive you crazy.

Needless to say that wasn't the start the Lions wanted on offense.
