When I was little my dad had an antique chess set that was utterly destroyed by my cat, who knocked it off the cupboard where it was kept. For some reason he kept the fragments. Tonight the Ukrainian refugees who’ve been living with him revealed that they’ve spent the past year repairing it. 🇺🇦❤️

Excitingly, they have reprinted the Usborne 'Book of the Future' from the days of Blake's 7, when the world seemed susceptible to decision-making and in continuity with the best of the past (but I was only wee). #books #hope #future
