I am curious what this will do to EE salaries. CS pulled people with EE degrees into software, a lot from the early computer days are retiring, and CS vs EE college graduation rates are about 3X.

This is such a weird move. There are so little downsides to open source hardware. You can’t copy-write the design and can’t hide the hardware. It has to be very complex before it is a challenge to reverse engineer. Scale protects hardware more than design source. hackaday.com/2024/11/20/w...
