#TimeTravelAuthors D17 My MCs are fortunate that the time-travel device, which is about the size of a baton from a relay race, also functions as a universal translator. Otherwise they'd have to know: -Old English -Latin -Celtic dialects -Mongolian And that's just for the first 3 books!

#TimeTravelAuthors D11 On my MC's first leap into the past, he does NOT fit in well. Mostly because he doesn't realize he's in the past. So when a "helpful" person burns all his clothes, his shoes, and his wallet, then tells him to dress up in medieval garb, he's a bit reluctant to say the least.

Yesterday was World Read Aloud Day and I had the great fortune to be able to spend it virtually with the Grade 9 students of Manatee School for the Arts in Florida. It was my first ever WRAD, and it was great fun. I'm looking forward to doing it again! #WRAD #teachers #librarians #reading
