"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor obstinate urban raccoon..."

Cal Raleigh is doing nothing to dispel this questionable idea

Who wants to guess what kind of "harmless live insect" I got to deliver today?

Crap. I did it again. So I'm reading my backlog of @flaminghydra.com newsletters on my phone while I treadmill. How quaint, to read!

I feel the need to resurface and double this sense of wonder after Eugenio Suarez hit 4(!) home runs last night. Damn, Geno.

As someone perpetually 7 years late to new trends -- especially in fashion and style -- I still found this @dieworkwear.bsky.social piece on alpha male aesthetics over the decades incredibly interesting www.bloomberg.com/features/202... (SO to @lifewinning.com for sharing it!

Same postal route, different angle for the camera, and once again an amazing day to work outdoors

I only caught bits of tonight's Mariners game because of kid bedtimes but it was still fun to listen to a true runaway win. Logging on here to see what happened toward the end was even funnerer!

Did anyone listening to the Mariners game hear the reason Rick Rizzs is not on the broadcasts tonight? I missed it.

The Miami Marlins! What to do for #MLBPlayerRespect with the 2025 Marlins? I looked at the roster and recognized a whole two (2) names: Sandy Alcantara and Cal Quantrill. Sandy Alcantara it is!

Nothing but respect for Steven Kwan, especially after reading this piece www.nytimes.com/athletic/630...

New Viagra Boys has dropped! But in an embarrassingly middle-aged way, I'm just going to have to wait to listen until tomorrow because it's almost certainly not bedtime-appropriate

I don't know anything about the Seahawks' draft pick, but the spelling of his first name, Grey, suggests a certain cosmopolitan je ne sais pas. "Grey" being the more common spelling in British English vs "gray" in American English Yes this is a terrible joke

That's it. Game over. This Seattle household wins the competition (unofficial) for best porch sign.

It was a great day in Seattle to have a job working outside

My #MLBPlayerRespect pick for the Boston Red Sox is rookie Kristian Campbell. Here's a great story of how a chance meeting led to a friendship between a young Campbell and an up-and-coming Dee Strange-Gordon www.nytimes.com/athletic/616...

Sign at your earliest convenience.

You don't see a strikeout double every day! Nice hustle by Julio

Only two outcomes for the Mariners' bats so far: hits and Ks. Whatever works!

Well, good day to you, too, Mariners offense!

I'm listening to the Mariners game at the gym today. Let's get that fourth straight series win! Goms

NOPE nope nope nope no thank you

My #mlbplayerrespect nod for the Mariners-Blue Jays series goes to manager John Schneider (no, not that John Schneider). I confess I just looked all this up, but Schneider worked his way up from being a catcher in the Jays minor league system to managing the MLB club. Nice work!
