The local rag does periodic listacles of the 1/5 venues. I have dined at one and can report it to be delicious. Less appetising following that article though.

In Sheffield we have the choice of D, the one beginning with J, the one beginning with u, and a local one. They all kind of work except for D, which always ALWAYS generates an experience like yours.

Have not. Should. Think they also call it Black and Tan sometimes.

IoT devices you use on Valentineā€™s Day? Thatā€™sā€¦. Niche. But Iā€™m not a prude. Bring it on.

My main workhorse of a pan is the Always Pan Pro from Our Place. I wouldnā€™t buy the rest of their range as theyā€™re not dishwasher safe. The Pro is a beast, Iā€™ve had it on my Induction and my Kamado.

Looks lovely. That store looks like it could do serious damage on my wallet.

You make a great point. I asked Suddy to taste it before serving and a decent pour went in at the end. šŸ¤Ŗ

Hopefully this will be the year that more organisations strive for, and achieve B Corporation certification.

Apologise for filling the seats of good restaurants immediately!

Ah thank goodness youā€™re here too. Iā€™m happy to see people from The Other Place(s) posting here now. :)

There are other reasons for tourism??

I will watch that later, thanks for sharing. I was born in the town and even worked on the famous docks during my A Level studies. Relevant to our shared interest, there isnā€™t a parkrun in the historic borough despite being a town that can only benefit from the presence of an event.

Nice. I have the xpro2 and love it but what I donā€™t have is time.

Indeed indeed indeed. Have you got the full article open still in a browser that you can send me? It wonā€™t seem to load for me.

Looks a bit like a Fuji X Pro something something? Configured in film simulation mode and set to behave like Provia emulsion?

Iā€™m not sure I understand the real specifics on your question but I wonder if thereā€™s a flexible middleware like Keycloak you can use which abstracts sufficiently as a way to support per customer preferences/policies/credential sources?

It was some pre-diced flank that had been in the freezer too long. I think itā€™s my fault the meat wasnā€™t nice. The spicing was. But I didnā€™t want to waste the beef and am trying to use up our stocks vs spending money in January.

Yay, we are alive. Could the story behind the data be that many people who would have died of old age in 2024, died with Covid in 2020/21?

One from The Nutmeg Trail, one of my fave recipe books. www.kaveyeats.com/nutmeg-trail... (review by @kavey.bsky.social)

Pre diced flank. We just appeared to have some in the freezer from goodness knows when. Iā€™m trying to use up our freezer and cupboard stocks whilst in the usual new year skint mode.

Two fantastic breweries, prior to acquisition. How sad.

The reservation systems for trains is so painfully broken, so if the option is suspended, it might actually make Sheffield<>London a more viable rail route for a while.

I think in many economies, the main cost is people/labour and gyms have almost none of that cost. The discounters actually charge their ā€œstaffā€ a rent to be in the gym building, who then recoup that cost and make an income selling personal training courses to members.

The Virgin Mastercard is the most lucrative way of earning Hilton points on cc spend (as they transfer 1:1.5 VS:HH ā€” better than Hiltonā€™s own debit cards in the uk). Not sure if helpful? Itā€™s how I will probably take the 120k VS points Iā€™ve amassed in the last couple of years.
comment in response to post
The UK card market is a bit pants. The Virgin Atlantic Mastercard is an option but their award flight pricing is awful. A cash back credit card is an option. Amex green/gold/plat gives you membership rewards points you can transfer. You may still get value from the BA Amex even without status.

Thereā€™s a status match into Flying Blue if you think the answer might be KL/AF. I do less flying now so think I will take this as a signal to just buy for price and comfort from now on. The BA Stockholm Syndrome is over and Iā€™m now free!

I reached that conclusion doing Asteroidā€™s containerisation years ago. At the time it was easier to do end to end ā€œansible can do everythingā€ with that decision.
