If anyone hasn't submitted their Yorkshire moth records yet, we'd be delighted to have them in the next week or so. 70,000 in and processed so far, so lots still to come.

A few smart micro-moths from this year: Phyllonorycter lautella, P. trifasciella, Dichrorampha petiverella, Pammene regiana. #TeamMoth #MothsMatter @doublekidney.bsky.social

404 moth taxa in my garden this year, with a surprising 31 recorded for the first time, including Yarrow Pug (first for VC 61), Epinotia nanana (second for VC 61 and first since 1901), Small Mottled Willow and Euspilapteryx auroguttella (mine on St. John's-wort). #TeamMoth @doublekidney.bsky.social

So in my non-spare time, I run one of the biggest teams of ornithological consultants in Europe. Over the next year we are looking to add 11 people at all levels to the team. I am looking to make my team a centre of excellence for ornithological consultancy across Europe #ornithology #ukbirds #birds

Does anyone know how to get rid of all the cat posts in the Discover feed, please? I assume it's because I said I like animals when I signed up. Thanks!

The status of European eel remains critical. ICES advises that there should be zero catches of eel in all habitats in 2025. Further, that all non-fisheries related anthropogenic mortalities should be zero @icesmarine.bsky.social ICES advice available at ices-library.figshare.com/articles/rep...

ecowild.site.hw.ac.uk/current-oppo... several #PhD opportunities with the project #ECOWILD, involving different groups, including @michcjackson.bsky.social and @louiselavictoire.bsky.social #multiplestressors #wetland #aquatic 🧪🌍💧

I've taken the plunge and migrated to a (hopefully) more peaceful habitat. I'll mostly be posting and liking posts about moths. A few from the archives for my first post: Beautiful Marbled, Emperor Moth, Stigmella oxyacanthella (mine) and Coleophora juncicolella (case), all from East Yorkshire.
