The fourth painting in this polyptych, still need to create parts 1 and 2... I love how abstract the Australian desert is from above - it gives me licence to paint expressively and intuitively. Acrylic on canvas/linen blend, 170x190cm

Hmmmm ... still lots to do I feel

The final painting in my 4 piece series inspired by a rainy Boxing day morning in Geelong. Acrylic, ink, collage on 11x14 inch wood panel

New huge canvas on the go ... another Flinders Ranges aerial scene. There's still several swirling in my imagination, clamouring to get out 😅

Boxing Day, Geelong Waterfront, 3/4 I'm really enjoying the idea of simply painting my abstract thoughts, feelings and imaginings from a memory then overlaying it with elements of the scene. Acrylic, ink and collage on 11x14 inch wood panel

Second of a series of 4 paintings from a Boxing day walk along the Geelong waterfront.

Geelong waterfront series, 1/4 Acrylic, ink, collage on 11x14 inch cradled wood panel The first of four paintings inspired by a walk around Geelong in the quiet of a Boxing Day morning.

Can relate ...

I'm just at my framers shop, and there's an old lady here wanting to get this preserved behind glass... she loved it when she was a kid, but it's been stored rolled up in a chest for many decades forgotten until her daughter just discovered it. What a treasure.

Nearly finished a group of four small paintings of the Geelong waterfront, which have been enormous fun to create.

Twilight (not the vampire kind... I think)

Love Steve's writing..
