proud of my lithuanian heritage & the dignity & respect that country, the lithuanian president & residents showed the 4 US soldiers who died in a training exercise there this week. past US presidents have respectfully attended as soldiers’ remains return to the US. Drump today? at golf events.

wondering if anyone else thinks a civics test for anyone running for federal (or maybe any) office should be required. certainly feels that there are quite a few who now hold office who don’t know some basics like: the constitution, the declaration of independence and the federalist papers.

lithuanian independance day! the birthplace of my paternal grandparents who worked hard to reestablish independent rule in lithuania, fought russian domination and nazis. sounds the modern day usa. if democracy fails in the us and falls in ukraine, lithuania could be next. #FightForDemocracy

based on the current DOGE overtake of federal systems i logged into my social security account and created a report on my earnings and projected retirement benefits. during the session i was blocked due to online hours the system is available but my block happened outside of those hours. hmmm…

tariffs: not a topic in casual catchups in my world. today a woman i know well who is a buyer for a large retailer talked of how they are starting buying for the holiday season. suppliers in china, mexico and canada are showing them costs are rising by 25% tariffs = consumers pay #OrangeFool
