tariffs: not a topic in casual catchups in my world. today a woman i know well who is a buyer for a large retailer talked of how they are starting buying for the holiday season. suppliers in china, mexico and canada are showing them costs are rising by 25% tariffs = consumers pay #OrangeFool

10:18 pm in Los Angeles Earthquake hits. I start to count to register how long the shaking is. Realize that if this was a significant tremblor we would be f-ed as DOGE has hit FEMA and Orangeman hates California. I am all for cutting government waste and costs, but they don’t have a rational plan.

My grandparents left Lithuania to evade Russian domination where friends & relatives sent to gulags. They worked for an independent state & then worked to help Lithuanians escape Nazi occupation & the holocaust. Their grandchildren now are facing Russian & Nazi impacts in the US. #protectdemocracy

the guy in the center served to protect democracy & uphold the constitution. his parents (on either side) were incredibly proud immigrants who had left lithuania after facing the impact of both russian communists & german nazis. they would be stunned at the us today. i am too. #SlavaUkraini
