Late start here too...going to call it creative time and have my kids work on their own creative projects while I write! Will it work? Hope shines bright....

Marzieh Abbas was my favorite this year! I took so many notes about the different picture book structures and how to think about what structure to use based on what you want to accomplish.

That's so cool your son was learning about linen! It's such an amazing textile and uses a lot less resources than cotton.

Sounds like a party! I also love the structure of The Quiet Forest, what a great comp for your manuscript

Is this a true story? Would love to know more! I grew up in the Salt Lake valley, but honestly didn't know much about the lake growing up.

I've heard of this seed vault, but haven't seen any picture books on it!

I love this view from a woman's perspective, one who had an influence on his fame!

Love this concept and the comparison between one word that hurts and one word that helps.

One of my kids' favorite books is a cookbook with lots of pictures. I love the idea of letting them make decisions in the process!

I remember reading your draft a while back! I still love this idea, it's something we don't think about, but was such a big part of how we exist as humans today!

I love this idea! Recently I learned that Cat's Cradle may have originated in China and I was fascinated...it's been used in so many cultures and times since then.
