NEW ELEMENTAL: Estonia and two other Baltic countries (Latvia and Lithuania) finally broke away from the Russian grid this weekend and joined the EU grid. But now more than ever, they need to figure out their energy independence. Could nuclear be a part of the answer? t.co/QCtmGswMKq

Americans invented nuclear power. Americans dominated nuclear power. But we lost our edge. Time to dominate again. Great piece on how by retired engineer Joseph Somsel. www.americanthinker.com/articles/202...

Experimenting with a bolder makeup look and asked for feedback. ChatGPT roasted me😩

If Joe Biden fired 100 FAA employees and a plane crash happened just a few hours later, Fox News would bring Lou Dobbs back from the dead with wall-to-wall coverage blaming it on Biden.

Wow…can’t believe I got DeepSeek-R1 to admit the Tiananmen massacre. You have to download it to get it away from the censorship filters and ask it in a tricky way…

We stan @BuschEbba, our pragmatic 🇸🇪 queen! Speaking at the first-ever nuclear energy panel at the @wef, Deputy Prime Minister Busch laid out the atomic order of operations for Sweden: “What makes the most sense would be to start off with large conventional ones…”

Today in X:

Advocating for nuclear…MRT edition!

“Nuclear is the most strategically advantageous source of energy for Taiwan in a potential conflict with China” <== That is the opinion of Dr. Chieh Chung of the Institure of Defense and Security Research. More TK

Well…the most prestigious nuclear merch just dropped: not a t-shirt or a magnet, but a pearl. They are cultivating oysters in the warm water outlet area of China’s Hainan Nuclear Power Plant. Pearls as large as 14mm has been achieved!

ATOMIC STEAM! We talk a lot about nuclear steam for industrial processes, well here’s a nice video of how they’re doing it in China. Tianwan NPP’s VVERs are piping steam to a nearby petrochemical processing facility. This is a first of a kind pilot project that started operating in July 2024.

Talking energy and Taiwan’s future this morn with prof and commentator Dennis Weng and tech leader Eric “Boomer” Chang! Onwards and upwards in 2025!

NUCLEAR “UNAVOIDABLE ” FOR INDONESIA Says Agus Puji Prasetyono of Indonesia’s National Energy Council. 29 sites from North Sumatra off the western coast of Malaysia to West Papua in the east of the country has been proposed.

I’m just a bear, but I’m doing my part! “I ❤️Nuclear Energy” at Taipei 101

Instead of creeping on Greenland maybe the US should be working on our own nuclear ice breakers if we want to be competitive in the arctic. Just a thought…

Should Romania’s presidential elections be annulled if the “wrong” candidate won? Hundreds of thousands of Romanians are on the streets saying “No!” Some rules should not be broken. We can’t save democracy by undermining it.

Michael Turton is consistently against nuclear energy in Taiwan. At NT$1.4/kWh, nuclear energy is the cheapest power on the Taiwanese grid in addition to being stable and low-carbon. Life extension will raise costs. Maybe to NT$1.8/kWh. Compare to renewables at NT$5/kWh and up. Puzzling.

Tens of thousands of Taiwanese came out to protest judicial persecution yesterday. Their focus was DPP former chair Ko Wen-je. They’re convinced he’s railroaded. But it’s not the whole story… 🧵

Imagine a Germany where: They kept their nuclear power plants on. Then took all the energiewende money to build more reactors. They didn’t let in 400,000 immigrants a year. Spent the refugee money on guns instead: they would have been able to double defense spending.

Thought of @angelicaoung.bsky.social when I saw @profgalloway.com and his thoughts on nuclear in his 2025 predictions. "Wind and solar are great, but they lack the scale and reliability of nuclear power...Nuclear power may be the worst-managed brand in history." medium.com/@profgallowa...
