This rings true. Pretty much every development team I've spoken with recently has said the AI tools are as much a hindrance as an aid. Novel but not game changing - yet.

Hold on to your butts...

Sucks to lose 14 years worth of connections and conversations. #ohwell

Los Angeles peeps—spread the word about ICE. We won’t know for sure until it happens, but better safe than sorry. Be prepared.

United we bargain, divided we beg.

I thought Do Not Disturb/Driving Mode just didn't work on my phone. Turns out it works great when I'm on a train. Far superior mode of travel in basically every way.

Saw someone say, "End your friendships with people who are going about life like nothing is wrong." I will never understand people who think that further isolating ourselves from everyday people who don't get it is going to save us. It's not. Your judgment and disdain will not save us.

Not enough has been said about how AI companies are basically doing the Driving Crooner sketch as a business model. Step 1: Make a product that does something nobody wants and/or only works in very specific scenarios. Step 2:

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m starting to think the only thing that kept the planes from crashing before was diversity.

I would easily pay double or even triple for a user friendly Operating System with zero tracking, zero ads, zero popups, never steals my active window and no fucking AI. Just run my shit. I guess that was pretty much Windows 7. Can we get that back, with security updates?

Houdini is great! I love it! I'm not crying, you're crying! #Houdini #learning #gamedev #indie #indiegamedev

I think this article is a bit analogous to AAA: we built things too big too fit. Also like cars, even the old, traditionally reliable brands have seen a decline in quality both from ineffeciency and pursuit of profits. www.vice.com/en/article/a...

The games industry was already showing sickness in the late 10s and Covid was the car that hit it on the way to the hospital. It gave us a big surge of health and profits like morphine and steroids but also a convenient scapegoat when the problems started to show up again.

Amazing article. "More recently, researchers have found that the viral outrage disseminated on social media ... actually reduces the effectiveness of collective action. The result is a media environment that keeps us in a state of ..fear and anger... instead of organizing against [our oppressors]."

When old people get turned into vampires, do they still keep their sore bones and shitty eyesight?
