I don’t follow politicians generally but if you have balls this big, you have my respect.

$50 billion and more spine than companies which have that much in revenue per quarter. I cannot believe I’m saying this about Harvard, the same place with proven anti Asian admission bias.

This is so hilariously evil. Like if someone told me 5 years ago something like this was going to happen, in no conceivable universe would I have believed it outside that of pure fiction. It is remarkable that people aren’t literally shouting off rooftops about this.

I still think this is the future and I’d have bought it if it was in the $1000 range and had even ok reviews. It is surprising both how hard this problem seems to be and how even the enthusiasts aren’t buying this in enough quantities.

They are not in good shape from all these articles. I mean, we aren’t either if the thing remains in place for many weeks. But who tf knows

🙏🙏🙏🙏

I entirely believed this for a full 20 seconds before noticing it was Onion.

This is great messaging honestly. A lot of his base thinks they are battle hardened soldiers who can take a beating unlike those puny liberals and their soft hearts.

One thing people don’t discount is this is not a serious admin. It’s a 4chan administration. It works on shock and awe. Big massive illogical announcements are how it starts negotiations. But even so, if I was china, I’d be offering terms to people to cartelize with me.

Holy fuck he had to plan around *peeing*?!

Always remember that narrow experts are particularly stupid about everything else. This is specifically true of political social media circles. One side may be worse but not enough difference to matter.

There is a certain level of competence where you will be head and shoulders over your peers. It happens to all of us. People atrophy when they reach this point. The trick is to say “this shit is too easy, I need a challenge” almost all the fucking time.

What a pick me up. Really needed to read this today morning.

I know everyone hates the admin, but I’m in support of anyone who is questioning the mismanagement in the MTA. Even if in the same breath they want to stop congestion pricing which explicitly pays for future improvements. If the MTA is already publishing data about why it sucks, I haven’t read it.

This place may finally be hitting critical mass. I left X only last week but it looks like it’s been accelerating here even before that. If only folks got on mastodon.

If only @teorth.bsky.social knew about this.

They’re here to loot the coffers, not to grow the business.

Rates aren’t high enough!!!

Just no attempt at being serious. It’s quite amazing.

The problem is the stupid is too spread out to contain properly and educate. Why would a $36k employee spend any time educating himself on politics when he’s likely barely surviving? And yet he is allowed to vote.

People voluntarily subjecting themselves to torture.

The Culture series is a set of novels that repeatedly enforces the fact that you do not, under any circumstances, fuck with the Culture. Then people choose to do so and find out the hard way.

Sometimes really really bad shit thoughts keep you up at night. I know rationally it won’t happen. Most human premonitions are nonsense. But it really really fucks with you.

New Yorkers really experiencing it this year.
