America is neither a friend nor an allly, it's an unhinged bully.

MUST READ: This is the most informed and well-researched article I have read about avian flu and about how animal agriculture created the panzootic now threatening our own species. Brilliant. nautil.us/the-unnatura...

We Europeans have awoken very late to the fact that America has no friends - only interests. They will run this continent to the ground for everything we got & we will not get a say in any of it. We will be spoils of war. Again. The climate crisis will turbocharge all of this. Grim.

Why it is time to say goodbye to Germany as an oasis of stability, and why ironically it was JD Vance in Munich who might have helped the centrist parties to get a grip now after all. My take on the most important elections in a generation on Sunday in Berlin. 👇👇

20 years on and the Hunting ban clearly isn’t working, it’s failing wildlife. We need a proper ban on hunting! Share if you agree!

Extreme-weather events will continue to hit crop yields. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Exactly. How the system broke in the novel, how everything got ro that is what matters the most at the moment.

Elon Musk’s X blocks links to Signal, the encrypted messaging service Signal has been a primary method of communication for federal workers looking to blow the whistle on DOGE www.disruptionist.com/p/elon-musks...

J.D. Vance's lecture in Europe basically convinced every country to quietly create a new secret group chat without the US.

there cannot be an “energy transition” in an industrial society there will only be “energy additions” until the end

Forests keep being decimated largely for monocrops to make industrial animal feed. Agrobusiness is probably more powerful than the oil lobby. The ONE thing you can do is to stop eating meat, frankly.

My guess is forced labor on "wellness farms" resembles forced labor on agribusiness poultry farms. www.salon.com/2017/10/15/t...

Again, for the gazzilionth time and for the dullards at the back: There. Can.t. Be. Infinte. Growth. On. A. Finite. Planet. JFC!

See here's how to do a headline. fortune.com/2025/02/13/e...

🚨🚨 Bleak statement from @apnews.com: " Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office."

#TwoTierPolicing

Pretty much sums it up for me

Simon Harris agrees we should "introduce some sort of regulation to remove trees that are within approx. 30m of roads, power lines or communication lines." Christ. Just when you think it can't get any worse in the most scalped country in Europe, they think this up. www.thejournal.ie/labour-ivana...

Free speech baby

I’m sure “DOGE” will be all over this.. truthout.org/articles/tes...

Great point.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

Of course they do. They prey on addiction and vulnerability. Morals have no place in their business model.

I never understood the musicians playing music while the Titanic sank. Now I do.

#FactoryFarming - terrible for human health, for animal and environmental health on this #PollutedPlanet www.theguardian.com/environment/...

One of the biggest scandals of our time is the Badger cull. It hasn't worked and it never will. The vast majority of TB spread is cattle to cattle. It's a disgrace that 200,000+ have been killed. Please take a moment to back the govt petition to end the cull: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

Spot on, as always. If you don't follow @tsakraklides.bsky.social on here yet, have a read at his work. It's so worth it.

The poet that is Mike Scott (The Waterboys) back in 2000. Prescient.

Another reason to cut back on meat consumption… Between 2017 and 2024, intensive poultry and pig farms in Norfolk and Suffolk were found to have broken environmental regulations a staggering 776 times. That’s an average of at least twice every week! www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Clarckson is a waste of oxygen at pretty much every level of his priviledged, booze filled pathetic existence. He's also wrong, on this and pretty much everything else.

Perhaps if he had not spent so much time playing video games so that he could be the #1 video game player he would know that the answer to this question is "All of them."

Coming soon.
