I finished The Names by Florence Knapp last night and it will definitely be in contention for one of my favorite books of 2025. Fantastic debut that comes out May 6th. #booksky

When Andrew Tate was charged with rape and human trafficking, Trump intervened to fly him back to the US. When a working-class father of a disabled 5-year-old child was wrongfully deported and charged with NO crime, Trump refuses to lift a finger.

I’ve just started Annie Hartnett’s The Road to Tender Hearts, coming out April 29th, and I can already tell I’m going to *love * it. #booksky

Happy publication day to Fun for the Whole Family by Jennifer E. Smith! This story of the four Endicott siblings was a 5-star read for me. #booksky

I’m loving Daryl Gregory’s upcoming release (April 1!) When We Were Real. It’s a wacky, fun road tripping novel with a full cast of interesting characters. #booksky

I wish men knew how pathetic I think they are when they loudly slam weights in the gym. Yes, I’m judging you for poor form and using too high a weight for your abilities.

Baked Alaska cocktail at Little Pearl in DC. Delicious meal and drinks!

My movers arrive in a couple of hours, so it’s going to be a hectic day, but all I want to do is read my ARC of The Martian Contingency by Mary Robinette Kowal. I’m so happy to be back with these characters! #booksky

I’m starting this behemoth today; it’s been on my TBR for ages. Wish me luck! #booksky

I’m taking a quick break from ARCs to enjoy Jojo Moyes’ newest book, We All Live Here. #booksky

I’m about to start the audiobook version of Sharon McMahon’s The Small and The Mighty. If there was ever a time that I needed to hear about everyday people influencing history for the better, that time is now. I’m also worried this book will make me feel even worse about the current state of things.

I’m excited to start Kim Fay’s new novel Kate & Frida tonight. #booksky

The Washington Post refused to run this ad. Sure would be a shame if it went viral.

Here’s my blog post with some of the March books I’m looking forward to. #booksky

I’m loving Brianna Labuskes’ newest historical fiction, The Boxcar Librarian (coming out March 4th). #booksky

Sometimes you just need a fun escapist read. I’m thoroughly enjoying Natalie C. Parker’s The Assassin’s Guide to Babysitting. #booksky

Today’s book is from one of my favorite authors, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. “Dream Count” comes out on March 4th. #booksky

Today’s Amtrak reading: an ARC of Laila Lalami’s ‘The Dream Hotel.’ #booksky

Weather has given me an unexpected free day in Boston, so I just walked twenty minutes in a freezing drizzle to get my favorite hazelnut latte at The Thinking Cup.

Psyched to be starting the new @sarahbethdurst.bsky.social novel The Warbler on my Northeast Regional Amtrak Journey today! #booksky

I was reading Frances Quinn’s historical novel ‘The Lost Passenger’ yesterday, and one of her characters says this Swedish proverb: “You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can stop them from nesting in your hair.”

Pretty cool to see @naominovik.bsky.social as a clue in the NYT crossword this morning!

Currently reading and listening to two very different but equally fantastic ARCs: Charlotte McConaghy’s Wild Dark Shore (audio, multiple narrators) and Curtis Sittenfeld’s short story collection Show Don’t Tell (ebook). #booksky

Currently reading Lisa Genova’s latest novel, ‘More or Less Maddy’ where she explores bipolar disorder through a fictional lens. I love all of her books, and highly recommend her nonfiction book ‘Remember’ about the science of memory. #reading

I’m here to share books and travel experiences with real people.
