Been watching some movies and TV lately. I really liked Arcadian—I love its vibes, don’t want to spoil them. I actually loved Black Mirror S06. I think it’s the best one, and I’m sad people criticize it just because “technology TV doesn’t have enough technology.” It’s Twilight Zone, it’s great!

It saddens me how complex modern FPS and TPS games have become. Some have even run out of buttons with all their dashes, slides, sprints, dives and jumps, forcing them to rely on weird button combos. It’s a mess. I just want shooting games to be simple again.

If a game is designed to be challenging without easy modes, don’t give the creators grief over it. Just play another game—there are plenty of easy games out there. If you’re upset that you can’t play a challenging game, well, I don’t like that I can’t enjoy easy games. And I just leave them alone.

Somehow, I ended up playing three different Tetris games at the same time. Also Lumines. It all started with Balatro somehow? And really, it all started with Panel de Pon. Everyone, go play the Japanese version of Panel de Pon on SNES—there’s a translation patch available!

Cool, cool. Oh, I just remembered how they were mass-deleting forum posts about cheaters and cheat techniques in D2. At first, they claimed the posts were revealing the identities of cheaters. Then they just started deleting them without any reason—probably to keep it under the rug.

Been playing Celeste recently. Last time I played it was around 5 hours of play time back in 2020–21. This time, I got into it way more than before. Just completed the B-side of the first level—gotta say, it’s really impressive seeing over 15% on that B-side achievement. Lots of people try hard!

When a game allows savescumming, it opens this ugly can of worms in my brain: I should load and see every line. Maybe I should reload a chapter? I should leave backup saves every hour. Why am I even playing? Decisions don’t matter. I see every outcome, every choice - and I don’t care.

Citizen Sleeper is so engaging because my mind races with calculations, buzzing to find the best action. So when the story comes, it’s a refuge, not a chore - rest as a change of activity. Compare that to the nonstop text in Disco Elysium or similar games - it just feels tiring and stale to me.

Citizen Sleeper is basically how I wish Disco Elysium had been. For me, without good systems and solid gameplay, writing can't hold on its own. It’s really hard for me to play/read Disco for even an hour. Meanwhile, I lost myself in Sleeper for 11 hours and only stopped because my body gave out.

I wanted to play just a couple of minutes of Citizen Sleeper today - start again, play a little - since my first session was only 30 minutes. I just wanted to get a grip on the mechanics because I’m a slow learner. But I’ve already ended up playing for at least 8 hours. What a GAME. Amazing.

I really don't get it - what preservation are we even discussing? They’re preserved: download ISOs, PSX/PS2 emus, playable on anything even your phone if its snap 8 gen1+. Real preservation means replicating original experience both hw and sw aspects. The tweet’s just pushing botched, subpar ports.
