Pass it on. #StandWithUkraine

Dear Volodymyr Zelenskyy, dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone.

Wow the restraint Zelensky showed, extraordinary!

ā€˜It is not impossible that Trump gives Britain exemptions on tariffs in part because imposing them would damage his personal business interests.ā€™ Hat tip to Starmer for managing the meeting with more aplomb than I believed possible. www.thetimes.com/article/c933...

Spring budding, joy!

ā€œI sense that British conservatism knows its American dream is over. The nation will have to immerse itself in Europe for decades to come, not as an idealistic project but as an existential must.ā€ on.ft.com/3QCiYMX

ā€œBut don't you want the 'right' women?" Silly me - of course - weā€™ll wait for perfect in the face of overrepresentation of men. Merit is equally distributed, thatā€™s not reflected in our politics. Weā€™ve worked out barriers & created a roadmap for reforming politics so it works better, for everyone

This week I mostly did thisā€¦

This photo captures so much! Waltz looks like he is praying and Wiles wishing desperately that she could reign in (shush now) Trump.

Threat from within? 12% have a somewhat favourable view of Putin. Donā€™t think Vance would want to ignore voters šŸ‘€ #RunningForPresident

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russiaā€™s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraineā€™s voice is heard on the world stage.

8 year old - ā€œMummy on the radio just now it said Trump thought Ukraine started the war. That isnā€™t true. Why would you say that?ā€ Exactly.

JD Vance is so nauseatingly unlikeable that heā€™s literally dragging down the AfDā€™s approval rating

ā€œHe was trying to praise Musk for providing Starlink access to stricken areas, but it was evident that Trump has no idea what Starlink is or does.ā€ This is a very worthwhile readā€¦

20 years. That is what women add to peace deal negotiations. Course that requires it to be a negotiation. Course that requires it to be a peace deal. But none of the above is happening.

2 old fools, so much worse than 1. ā€˜1 round of instant dismissals backfired as officials scrambled to re-hire most of the 300 staff sacked from the National Nuclear Security Administration last Thursday. All but about 25 staffersā€¦ have since been reinstated.ā€™ www.thetimes.com/article/c0c4...

My message to the world

Really, really hope they donā€™t (canā€™t) use their British passportsā€¦ Trump team ā€˜lobbying Romania to let Andrew Tate leave countryā€™ www.thetimes.com/article/569e...

I did not know & the rhetoric does not demonstrate but really should - Europe has already overtaken in terms of aid to Ukraine. EU = ā‚¬70bn ($73bn; Ā£58bn) in financial & humanitarian aid + EU = ā‚¬62bn in military aid. US = ā‚¬64bn in military aid US = ā‚¬50bn in financial & humanitarian aid.

I hope that prize requires actual agreement rather than enforcement. ā€œNonetheless, it is clear Trump wants to end the war (& perhaps pocket a Nobel peace prize into the bargain) & sees direct negotiations with Moscow over Kyivā€™s head as the way to achieve that.ā€ www.thetimes.com/article/7eb2...

Itā€™s the one-year anniversary of the death of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny. His widow Yulia Navalnaya, is in Munich again this year, and issued a warning to delegates gathering here this weekend: Donā€™t negotiate with Vladimir Putin. ā€œHe will betray.ā€œ

I've spent the past year talking to James Murdoch about his father's "twisted" behavior, the mind games at the family-counseling retreat, how Fox News really works, and the war over his family's media empire. My cover story for The Atlantic's April edition: theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

Even one of Wall Streetā€™s biggest Republican donors felt compelled to speak out. The ā€œuncertainty & chaosā€ created by Trumpā€™s trade moves & Trumpā€™s ā€œbombastic rhetoricā€ had ā€œsear[ed] into the minds of CEOs & policymakers: we canā€™t depend upon America as our trading partner,ā€ on.ft.com/4gKqyzM

US = dancing with the devil Europe = weā€™ve seen the devil before

Musk gets to review NASAā€¦ Iā€™m sure if someone pointed out the planet sized conflict heā€™d immediately step aside, as he said he would in the Oval Office where of course he was very much not being a President!

Just imagine the videosā€¦šŸ‘€
