This is astonishing yet so totally predicted.

BREAKING: Trump calls Zelenskyy a dictator in tonight’s speech. Then he threatens the existence of Ukraine as a country. “A dictator without elections. Zelenskyy better move fast or he’s not going to have a country left.” This is out of control.

Years ago, after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, I interviewed a former fb employee, and I remember her continually emphasizing that these tech bros weren't evil geniuses, but were, in fact, dangerous because they were utterly clueless, totally reckless, and had too much power.

This is obviously coming from a nasty place, but I wish we stopped thinking of nationalities in this way. I lived in different countries and they all made me the person I am today. What does it even mean "to be truly British"? It's an impossible question to answer.

As if there were not enough issues around the world to worry me, now I have decided to follow a professor who shares how the Earth can be magnificently murderous.

I love that Derek brought this into my grey Sunday!

Frankly really hard to accept that nothing has been done by @royalsociety.org about this!

Unsurprisingly, people with zero respect for workers and their expertise, can't make anything work.

The expression 'British values' always made me itchy. They're not inherently or exclusively British, they are values of contemporary democracies*. Ironic how now the US uses the expression to further split Europe. *they are: rule of low, democracy, mutual respect, tolerance, individual liberty

Learning new things about the country every day. And they are not exactly great...

Scientific research does not operate in a vacuum. Scientists need to see themeselves as citizens like any others, first. Our rights as citizens are not secondary to our jobs. We cannot work our way out of removal of social rights.

Disgraceful language. No way a Health Secretary can say any this in good faith, at this point.

What is happening in the US (and not only there, frankly) is why you Need to join a union. Like, yesterday. How do you think you can get organized? Workers still have power, especially if used collectively. We are not alone, but solidarity requires Action.

happy weekend to everyone, especially my payroll who messed up my payslip bringing down my salary to a third of what it should be (not even enough to pay rent), got the wrong figure for pension, zeroed my NI contribution and more.
