The last day of my first Deer season in Vermont and sadly nothing came my way despite the wind and weather being in my favor + a well-trafficked route along apple trees. Growing up I heard hunters joke about a "secret bunker" where deer go for these few weeks and there might be some merit to that.

I spent a few years working with artisan cheesemakers and many bemoaned the regulations in place regarding raw milk and raw cheese BUT many of those same folks recognized that without protections, other negligent producers would far more often sicken and kill people.
