After my unintentional stop in the industrial district and the long detour on foot to the hotel, I realize how much snow is lying around on the street and is much thicker than our snowfall in Germany. I haven't seen this amount of snow since my childhood.

After the sightseeing evening walk in Toronto downtown I went back to the hotel by public transportation, but unfortunately I took the public bus that went too far away when I was originally stopped. I had to walk 5km through the suburban industrial district to my hotel. 😅

After checking into the hotel, I take public transportation to downtown Toronto and take a short sightseeing night walk. Toronto City Hall was the location for the Resident Evil: Apocalypse movie. It looks smaller in real life than in the movie.

So finally the ICE train has arrived and now 1 hour and 23 minutes to Frankfurt International Airport. 🚄🔜✈️ 1 hour's sleep before I wake up and get off the high-speed train. 😴 Fun fact: from hometown to Frankfurt International Airport is about 214km (133 miles) away.

Great. Tomorrow the public transportation is on strike, so the streetcar, underground and buses can't go to the main station and I have to walk even earlier to get my express train ICE in the morning. Luckily the Deutsche Bahn is still running.
