We are going to have to be very diligent to make sure SP Moe’s buddy, UCP Smith, doesn’t influence Saskatchewan policy on availability of COVID-19 vaccine here. #PreventionMatters #VaccinesSaveLives #SkPoli

You may have recently seen the headlines/articles: "Alberta task force recommends halt of COVID-19 vaccines in new report" But who wrote the report. Let's dive in a bit. 🧵

We are up to 550 signatures, which is amazing! I truly believe that there are far more of you out there who, like me, believe that we need to take large donations out of the equation when our politicians are crafting policy. Please sign & share 😀 www.change.org/Saskatchewan...

Amirite?

The SIPPA program is important in that it provides a stream of physicians entering our province who otherwise wouldn’t. I’m very curious about the medium to long term retention rates though as it seems they so rarely stay in our province.

This. This is what brought in changes to family med that swept the nation. Up until now all rallies that I’m aware of in SK have been organized by unions and have been shrugged off. I believe we need a critical mass of public pressure to achieve change. www.timescolonist.com/local-news/r...

We could sell T shirts? Proceeds to a good cause. Any interest out there?

Not a huge JT fan but want one of these flags just to make certain folks’ heads explode 😂

Happy new year everyone! All the best in 2025 😀

Warning shot fired. This story is about more than one sick doctor who can't make their shift tonight in our province's largest city. Our ERs are in crisis. Staffing in our ERs is getting more challenging. Even in our big cities. We need to fix this.

I know it is difficult to be vulnerable and tell your HC story publicly, but without stories like this being told every single day, we will never see change.

"The origin of the AIMS program can be traced back to 2018. At its outset, the province aimed to have the system operational by March 31, 2021, at a cost of $86 million." Troubled Administrative Information Management System is now set to cost $250M by the project’s end. How?

Resign from cabinet?? I’m from Saskatchewan where you don’t even resign from cabinet if you get caught lying about bringing a gun into the legislature! This is serious.

Whooping cough in SK: Where is our Chief Medical Health Officer? AKA: My villain origin story.

I really hope that people will start holding our elected officials accountable for their role in these situations.

What do you think? After electing the guy who is going to axe the tax, which will result in exactly nothing as far as saving us all money, the people who fell prey to this misinformation will: a - demand an explanation or b - shrug and move on

100 signatures in 24 hours! Amazing! Please share this far and wide. And sign if you haven’t yet done so 😊 I’d love to see a few hundred signatures when I bring it to the attention of those in power 😃 www.change.org/Saskatchewan...

-25C last night - want to help homeless in Saskatoon? The population has exploded, from 260 last year to over 1000 now. I called agencies for a group I help to see what donations are needed. Will add more as they respond. Please share around #yxe.

And the patients needing to see a doctor in ambulatory care will just … not. do. that? Good and great.

It’s still rude to talk loudly through a kids Christmas concert, right? I shushed ‘em (in the spirit of the season of course lol)

"During the gala, CCMBC president Catherine Swift mentioned that both New Brunswick and Saskatchewan accept “out of province political donations.” They aren't even hiding it anymore. Our weak political donation laws are being exploited to subvert our democracy.

From @tammyrobert.bsky.social (who I don't think is active on here). I have been one of the people in Saskatchewan beating this same drum for a few years now. We NEED to change our political donation rules in SK. It is a "boring topic" but I believe the number 1 issue in the province today.

“We need to unleash the efficiency of the free market in our health care system.” I hear this often. This thread outlines an example whereby a doctor spent nearly 10 extra minutes just to write a simple Rx. And this isn’t rare. Our system needs improvement but we need to do so carefully.

Agree. Ignore him. He is like a child seeking attention. Didn’t Trump say he was going to buy Greenland in his first term?

Grewal was an MLA when he violated the COI act to the tune of nearly $1M. Deciding not to run in the next election should not confer any sort of immunity from consequences of this. Moe just looks weak here. Again.

"McLeod also wrote, “the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has informed the ministry that the current designation of beds is meeting patient needs.” What a completely dismissive and out of touch comment to make when responding to someone who is bringing concerns to your attention.

Very interesting piece from our former federal Environment Minister. Well worth a read. The playbook used by Oilsands companies is very similar to the one that was used by Tobacco companies. It is lunacy that we allow them to donate huge sums of money to our provincial politicians in SK.

Contrast the words of our premier stating people will get their primary care from an urgent care clinic with those of Vicki Mowat the NDP health critic who gets it. She correctly identifies the causes of bed block, and role of LTC placements, primary care and community resources in alleviating it.

I will just point out that there were 11 days between these Mandryk opinion pieces. leaderpost.com/opinion/colu...
