There should be no budget deal until Musk and his groyper cadre are exiled from DC. Why would Democrats vote for any budget when the executive has usurped their branch’s budget-setting authority?

My mentions are filled with people insisting Senate Democrats are powerless. They’re not. They can throw up roadblocks by denying unanimous consent, forcing quorum calls, using holds and filibusters, etc It’s so easy to figure out even a dimwit like Tuberville managed to pull it off.

It has for some time been my firm belief that people do not give Tolkien anywhere near enough credit for the versatile, intentional writer that he is. The cliche about his turgid, overly-detailed writing does not withstand any meaningful engagement with the actual novel.
