News: Journalists at Voice of America were just informed that they’ve been put on administrative leave. Two people there told me this went to all fulltime employees. “From what we can tell, VOA is effectively shut down from this moment.”

BRings tears to my eyes,

June 2018. Jewel Cave National Monument. The rangers were phenomenal and the kids promised to protect national monuments. I’m so thankful for the knowledge my kids have been able to gain thanks to the amazing rangers at each park.

My movie recommendations for March : Night of the Pencils, The Twelve Year Night, Argentina 1985, and The Blonds. www.youtube.com/live/XO_qwbz... Yes, subtitles. Still worth it.

The kids have been to Mount Rushmore twice in their short lives. 2013 and 2018. They proudly took their oath to protect natural places and share their knowledge. The rangers were very kind and answered all their questions.

June 2018. Badlands National Park. The kids played in the sand, took an oath to protect our National Parks, and enjoyed the air conditioning in the interpretive center. The rangers were unbelievably kind and informative. The Wounded Knee Museum was close and had their air conditioner on artic.

June 2022. Grand Teton National Park and the National Wildlife Museum. The grandiose beauty of both had all 3 of us awe struck. Another badge, another oath to protect the national parks, and another amazing adventure.

2018. Mt. McGuire, Montana. Kootenai National forest. GPS betrayed me on the way to the trailhead. The ranger was kind and understanding. Once at the top of the mountain we spotted a new fire a couple peaks over. The ranger assured us we were fine. We stayed in a retired fire outlook station.

August, 2018. Glacier National Park. As usual, the rangers were amazing with the children. I can’t tell you how many times we took our oath to protect national parks. Based on the lack of photos I can only assume my phone died. #nationalparks #glaciernationalpark #parkrangers

Repost & like, if you stand with President Zelensky!

Yellowstone National Park. June, 2018. The kids were so darn proud of their badges. Kids get little workbooks that they fill out while they’re visiting all the sites. We learned so much. One group of Japanese visitors was so taken by Jo in her pink sequin hat that they took a group foto with her.

Ten years ago we went to Mt. Rainier. There aren’t enough words to explain how magical the Rainier forest is. The cabin was less than stellar but the forest and the rangers made up for it. The rangers were so patient and kind with all of us. Here’s a tiny glimpse of its beauty.

@sylvanaquafarms.bsky.social I just watched your Instagram post. I’ so sorry you have been dealing with so much hate for months on end. I will gladly support you here.

Things I learned last weekend: 2025 has no chill and my left hand is incompetent. The first time I went to acute care I was told I was fine. They gave me a sling and sent me home. 3 days later I went back and they finally saw the separation. Now I wait 4 days for Orthopedics to call.

We now have a clear, fact-based blistering report on the lack of an enforceable ethics management process for SCOTUS. SCs in all 50 states have a well-defined process that works. Why is this only coming out now, I ask Congress! What will the Ds do with it? And when? www.msnbc.com/the-last-wor...

Who can enforce this?

Libraries rock!

Under a new expansion, families in 35 of Oregon’s 36 counties have full access to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which gifts books every month to children from birth until age five: www.kptv.com/2024/12/18/d...
