After watching that parade, I'm pretty sure Trump is going to announce a Special Military Operation to liberate CA. They'll take LA in 3 days.

The soldiers I know in DC are not happy about being there. They realize it's dumb and don't like looking like fools in front of civilians. They aren't allowed to go out because their leadership is afraid of confrontation, so they're sitting around doing nothing.

As many people are fond of pointing out, you can order police and Ice gear online. Most of these units are not wearing standardized uniforms and are fully covering their faces and have no name tape. This is insanely sloppy and amateurish.

Accountability is for the Out group, not the In group.

I don't think there's an Alt-ICE account yet if anyone working in ICE wants to get on that, @altnps.bsky.social could use the help.

If you're in LA, just remember that the National Guard doesn't want to be there either. The best thing you can do, besides peacefully obstructing illegal arrests, is to talk to the NG like they're normal humans dealing with a frustrating boss.

Imo if a business can count as a person for the rights they get, shouldn't they be held critically liable as a person? Trickle-down liability. C-Suite gets the biggest punishment, then lower and lower levels get less and less.

I'm wondering if we've seen this yet: Politician says something that doesn't play well or they're caught on a hot mic, they release an AI version of the event and promote it over the real video, then they launch an investigation that finds it was a fake video I expect it'll be common soon enough

I don't advocate violence as a solution to political problems, but sometimes I get the distinct impression MAGA politicians are in a competition to see which one can get Luigied first. "Well, we all are going to die" is not a thing you should say flippantly ever, but especially not now.

Stalin had his 58s We're gonna have our 88s

The best way to destabilize Trump is for everyone to talk to their neighbors that voted for Trump. You won't change their minds (according to research, you'll likely make them more set in their views), but they'll be much less willing to vote for extremism if they see you as a person.

"China trade win" in the same sense that deciding to cease hitting your own nuts with a baseball bat is a win.

All I'm saying is, if Trump does a military parade, they'll be monitoring EM frequencies for drone attacks It would be pretty funny if someone drove around with an overpowered 2.4-5.8ghz antenna they turned on when Trump walked out to blast out insanely loud EM noise Hypothetically, of course.

I need to post more on here, but I've been busy. I've been thinking a lot about peace building as a counter to destabilization. It's shockingly easy to upset very complicated plans by guys like Trump and Putin. If resources were distributed evenly, they'd never have a chance.

Many products sold in the U.S. are made in El Salvador. In response to the El Salvador president’s statements today, we’re calling for an immediate boycott of all Salvadoran-made goods. Please help by listing any products or brands made in El Salvador in the comments below.

Re: Do The Thing I don't think the US is close to the point of needing that. Russia is. The line is when those in power use force to eliminate legal resistance. That being said, don't make the mistake of the Russian Opposition. They were always years behind Putin.

One Trillion Dollar DOD Budget but they can't hire enough behavioral health personnel to help all the f*ed up soldiers.

So Trump made 2 billion off market manipulation, which we can pretty much guarantee he'll do again in 90 days, but he can't be legally held accountable for anything he does in an "official capacity".... The swamp is overflowing.

My favorite thing about Trump's cultism and narrative control is that, because "Orange Man Bad" has become a thought terminating cliche used by MAGA to shut down meaningful conversation, Trump has to keep applying gallons of bronzer every day like a clown.

Email was sent out warning about the Hands Off protests as a possible threat to personnel. It didn't say protestors were violent, but it was worded... Oddly. I don't have the data, but my memory says I didn't see these warning emails very often until Hegseth took over.

Can someone at @altnps.bsky.social leverage your network to get us #Obama2028 number stickers since Trump keeps talking about running again?

It's hard to be consistent. It's easy to do one big thing, or to run forward in a dead sprint until you give up. It's another thing to think, after 20 miles, that you can put one foot in front of the other knowing there's another 20 or 30 or 40 miles ahead. Maybe more? But we'll keep going.

I do not believe that Musk stepping back is a victory, I think it is exactly what they planned. Musk did the dirty work and takes the fall, but gets contracts and law changes. Keep the pressure on.

100%

I've done a bit in my life to make bad men sad, and I'm very proud of that, but I strive to be as happy as #SusanCrawford talking about beating #ElonMusk There are few feelings as wonderful as knowing that your actions have made an evil man lie awake at night, fist clenched, fighting back tears.

Musk's meltdowns over Tesla being targeted is such a great sign. He doesn't like his things being targeted, and he's cracking under the pressure. It becomes significantly more likely he will do something that will cause his relationship with Trump to fracture.

@booker.senate.gov that was inspiring and motivating when, at least speaking for myself, there have been so few things to inspire anything except doubt and discouragement lately. What's next?

Performative isn't meaningless. Performances get attention. Performances upset people like Trump. Performances inspire.

"Do you hear that, Putin?" @booker.senate.gov

@booker.senate.gov is a badass
