Is it just going around in circles now?

I think if weโ€™re going to use ai coding assistants weโ€™re going to need to get better at reviewing and also size of pull requests. If ai is going to start increasing amount of code we produce we will have to improve the review workflow

I was very interested in your opinion of zig as I like the look of it and want to try it out when it matures more. Like you I didnโ€™t really gel well with Rust so hoping zig will be better

Ah I missed that! Itโ€™s a very big thread ๐Ÿ˜‚

I came across this and thought you might find it interesting flooey.org/zig.html

This has been the hardest thing I've found with Zig. It's so new and changing so much most documentation isn't right or difficult to find

Season 3 is so far away ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I think it depends on what language you select? Right now I can't enable it cause I got English UK but I think if I switched I could?

Yeah I got two radiators in my attic that constantly need bleeding as they build up a lot of air and then the temperature in the room starts to be effected as well. There pretty old inefficient radiators that need replacing but it's an interesting use case I wondered about

Oh yeah that'll be really good. I've been trying to look into the Lexicon stuff to better understand that

Oh nice I'll give that article a read. I've got an itch of an idea for Bluesky that I want to try explore

I think he's giving you a bit of the side eye. I'd watch your back!

This could still be a good interview for a platform role. Also good to brainstorm how they might investigate the issue

I'm working on stria.io to help automate the syncing of data. Right now I'm starting out with Stripe and Google Sheets but will expand this in the future to other services and systems. I also have ideas on how to offer this as a self-hosted solution perhaps for enterprise customers

I'd be interested to hear what you find out. I love Linear interface and way it works and want to adopt it but always get so far then just fall off from it

It's very strange but it also just works. Makes me feel so conflicted ๐Ÿ˜‚ I want to hate so much I just can't fault the fact it works perfectly well for what it does

I worry this was of working is dying off and now is frowned upon specially in agile teams. The focus is always on deliverables and making progress

Yeah it's super easy to use and I've personally found Starling more stable over the years than Monzo. I haven't tried there business accounts so not sure if they work differently but it's always super easy when I need to do my year end accounts
comment in response to post
I've been using Starling for mine ever since I setup my LTD company. Been fantastic and cause my personal account is with Starling easy to transfer money out too

The choice: Accept framework constraints and ship quickly, or craft a bespoke solution that fits your exact needs. Like furniture - sometimes you need IKEA, sometimes you need a master carpenter
comment in response to post
Framework conventions exist for a reason. Just as flat-pack furniture relies on detailed instructions, standardised joints and fittings. Each deviation from the instructions requires increasingly specialist knowledge
comment in response to post
Building without frameworks is like traditional woodworking - it demands deep understanding of the materials you're working with and woodworking techniques. Not everyone needs bespoke furniture, but when you do, flat-pack won't cut it
