he King in Yellow - The Yellow Sign II. Oil and digital. I can't leave alone this book, please understand my obsesion. Este va para mi hermano Roberto, a Mexico!

The King in Yellow - The tatters of the King. Prints available, l1nk in Bi0.

Love this interpretation of Persephone and Hades by @arayaart.bsky.social - this digital painting was commissioned for the band "NyKtiforom" for one of their album covers! #beautifulbizarre #samarayaart #samaraya #NyKtiforom #albumart #persephone #hades #mythology #digitalpainting #art

Sympathetic Magick - Digital. For the illustrated german edition of Cunning folk, by Adam Nevill. I was working on the hand that was ripping through the plush penguin insides and suddenly I turned off the layer, temporarily erasing all the work. I thought it looked more disturbing that way.

Studio corner, onward to the weekend with Hakaider!

Samuel.

"Day" oil and digital. Cover art for Night and Day, forthcoming all original anthology from SAGA Simon and Schuster. Edited by @datlow.bsky.social

I make pictures for a living and this is one of those, it’s called ‘March’.

"Nightnightnightnight" - Acrylic, digital. Cover art for Night and Day, forthcoming all original anthology from SAGA Simon and Schuster. Edited by @datlow.bsky.social

Speaking of horror books, here is the cover I did for @datlow.bsky.social new anthology, forthcoming via SAGA Simon and Schuster.

Covers for "Crypt of the Moon Spider" and "Cathedral of the Drowned" for Nathan Ballingrud. I thought of an old game I never played "Worlds of Ultima: Martian Dreams" a bit when I was working on these, somebody please do another Victorian Sci-Fi Rpg. Also, read Nathan Ballingrud's books.

Angelus Satani - Oil on Paper. Painting over automatic drawing.

Chthonic Tide

Exploratory sketches / Underpaintings made in ink and the final cover digitally composed for "ALL THE STARS DIE" @jfdt.bsky.social , forthcoming via @badhandbooks.bsky.social I'm focusing on my digital work having an analogue basis, because it adds to the mess. I'm a messy painter.

BEHOLD @arayaart.bsky.social's stunning cover art for @jfdt.bsky.social's ALL THE STARS DIE, a collection of cosmic-horror novellas. Coming later this year. The cover art interprets a scene in the novella, "Her Mouth is Filled with Secret Soup." Pre-order: badhandbooks.com/preorders/jo...

Lovecraftiana - Wings of a Faceless Angel. Oil on paper. "And worst of all, they never spoke or laughed, and never smiled because they had no faces at all to smile with, but only a suggestive blankness where a face ought to be." - H.P. Lovecraft

I think we all can learn a couple of things from Eli's amazing colour choices.

Lovecraftiana - Yuggoth I - Oil on Paper. Done around 7 years ago, when I was still living in Yuggoth.

The Seattle underground vampire - Digital.

Tonight @livelaughloathe.bsky.social surprised me this print of Persephone and Hades. I’m utterly smitten. It’s dark, mysterious, and breathtaking—just like love and art should be. Huge thanks to @arayaart.bsky.social for creating such a stunning piece!

We are dead gods for a time already collapsed Not even our dreams were saved Only the shadow has remained #portfolioday

Its #portfolioday ! I love doing covers for horror / weird fiction books. My favorite part is getting a free book with my cover and also getting $$$.

Aullido - R'lyeh, Oil on paper. “When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live.” ― H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu

I know you all follow me because I paintly mostly dark art but...

2024 funeral. My favorite pieces. A couple of oil paintings made into the list, hopefully 2025 will have more adventures in traditional medial. The first time I made a 90% traditional media image as a book cover, an also a cover for one of my favorite authors, Laird Barron.

The Ritual, digital, based on the book by the same name by Adam Nevill. The last black goat of the woods.

Happy HO lidays, HO HO HO.
