Please look up the influenza epidemic of 1918-19 to understand that the CDC not selecting strains for next year’s vaccines sets the stage for a public health calamity that will, without doubt and at bare minimum, catastrophically and directly impact people you know. This is a five alarm fire.

First Valentine of the day: a phishing test email from my employer. Besides all the usual reasons why phishing tests suck, this one is inconsiderate. Imagine you're a staff member who who is alone & sad today, and the only "card" you get from anyone is phishing email.

Breaking news: Lambda Legal and ACLU are suing on behalf of PFLAG and GLMA to end Trump's illegal executive order banning trans care under 19 years old. The suit has been brought in Maryland. A similar suit was brought on behalf of PFLAG to end child abuse investigations in TX 3 years ago.

Just released memorandum from OPM: Federal facilities will now have a bathroom ban for transgender people. It will go into effect on the 31st. It also has a slew of effects and puts into place the 1st anti-trans EO policies for every agency. This will have a ton of impacts very quickly.
