Unironically I think this is a very positive mindset to have. Not everyone is gonna know the same amounts of stuff and that's fine! And everyone has gaps in knowledge somewhere. It's just about kerning things cause you wanna, not cause you feel ya have to.

aww it's okay though! there's no right way to be, so it's fine if ya haven't yet. takes time for everyone, so best to be patient w yourself <3
i'm certain you have what it takes to do whatever you'd like though, you seem like a clever person from our interactions. it just takes time as all things do

yeah i mean i don't think they necessarily have to do something like that even if they have the aptitude for better. i just say i'd be disappointed cause real estate agent is kind of a scummy position based around schmoozing ppl out of money lol

nah that's completely fair tbh. i'd be disappointed too lmao

good to know! can't wait till it gains some more traction. the concept art for the city looks so sick. i'd love to be able to explore it in game.

that's really really cool! i'll def check it out when it's possible for me to play it again.

woahhhhh that's super cool! do they have stories n stuff to engage with in the areas they add or mostly smaller scale quests? also is there anything that brings elsweyr into the game? i've always wanted to explore it in something, but I am not playing elder scrolls online lol

yeahhhh i know those mods! they all seem very cool but i've never messed with them before.

no the barely being able to run it is already *with* openmw lmao. i pretty much always use it for playing cause it's really good :3

so real actually
i love morrowind. reminds me i still haven't gotten around to playing the expansions. can't with my current garbage pc though. it can barely run the game at all lmao

i very much did lmao. idk if it was just my wiimote or my particular setup but it desynced constantly and even when it was in sync, link would still swing wildly off from how i moved it irl

yeah it falls into the large category of linux stuff called "dorks arguing about stuff nobody cares about"

ohhhh okay! that's pretty cool! how well is it workin for ya so far?

TRUE!!! love skyward sword. it's biggest issue was janky wii motion controls and that's a lot better with the switch port. it's peam i'm afraid

long story short, it's convenient and fast at the cost of being a bit more complicated, and i am impatient so i just prefer it.

there isn't really much of a fight. i just don't like apt cause it's kinda slow. it can only download packages one at a time and you have to execute everything as seperate commands. pacman (the one on arch) lets you do all your updating, upgrading, and installing in one command.

oooo is the dropdown bar for your home menu new? that was very much not a thing the last time i used it. or at least if it was i was unaware
comment in response to

ohhh yeah it's adding an extra repo to apt and then manually downloading the authorization keys for it. too lazy for that, but i also don't like apt at all.
comment in response to
post
yeah no clue either. seems like too much of a pain in the ass. and also debian is... very old lmao
comment in response to

very fair. haven't tried fedora, arch is what i use now cause i honestly like getting into the nitty gritty and knowing exactly what my system is like and doing. verrrry much not for everyone though for obvious reasons. having to install everything manually from the ground up is a big ask

cuuuute i like ur setup :3

the permissions thing is mostly just complaining that i have to! cause i don't particularly care about it being a safety feature when i already know what's going on my system and can be fairly confident that it'll be fine without the sandboxing. just an extra step i personally dislike.

didn't actually know that librewolf isn't in the mint repo! very weird that it's not under any apt based systems that i saw on there. also yeah, the mint package for openmw is sooooo horribly out of date. i always installed it form the .deb file you can get from the website.

these are good points! and a classic bit of linux jank. it's also kind of circumstantial. some distros set up directories under ~ that allow you to install wallpapers and fonts without the clunk. i still don't think it's that bad, but is confusing at first.

personally, I cannot STAND flatpaks. cause they have so many weird quirks and you have to manage permissions with flatseal, and they don't fully uninstall when you remove them with flatpak, and they often times just don't even work for me. couldn't tell ya why.

hm personally i found the file structure to be a lot easier to deal with cause it's all one clean tree from root down to whatever. and i compulsively keep my stuff very well organized anyways so i guess it kinda worked out in my brain. and generally you're always gonna put stuff in home anyway

yeah! honestly it's a been a great experience for me over the 3-ish years i've been using it now. even the worst of frustrations and hurdles i've had on linux pale in comparison to the obstacles i'd run into on windows. i would never go back at this point. what's ur fave part so far :3
