We’ve made sure adults of any age who need personal or nursing care will receive it - free of charge. And our Carer’s Allowance Supplement puts extra money in the pockets of thousands of carers.

"If a multimillionaire paid 2% more in tax, they’d still be a multimillionaire. But for a disabled person losing PIP, it’s the difference between survival and destitution." A damning letter to the editor. @eastangliabylines.co.uk @bearlypolitics.co.uk

Is this England and Wales only?

It was predictable - how can the Westminster Government be so clueless? And who will get the blame in Scotland is also predictable!

BBC Scotland is no longer even trying to hide the fact that its main goal is to protect the Labour party in Scotland, the current holders of the poison chalice "Saviours of the Union."

People in the US need to hear this and hold Vance to account!

Well said President Zelenskyy 👏 we don’t bow to bullies and Putin puppets Ukraine will not accept a minerals agreement with the US that would jeopardize its accession to the EU, Zelenskyy said on Friday “Nothing that could endanger … Ukraine’s accession to the EU can be accepted,” he said

Stats released by the Department of Work and Pensions suggest a child poverty plan is needed

It is absolutely right that we do not need Greenland (or Canada) for natsec reasons because they are already close NATO allies. So the only rationale to turn the US into an aggressor in our own hemisphere is if you don’t plan on NATO being a US alliance in the future.

Let me help: buy your own pint.

We all have to fight this!

THE INDEPENDENT: Reeves’ spring statement mirrors Truss’s chaos, plunging her approval to alarming lows as critics warn of impending cuts deepening poverty for the vulnerable. - by Archie Mitchell and Andy Gregory

This is outrageous!

The number of children in poverty in the UK has reached its highest level since comparative records began in 2002. In the year to April 2024, there were 4.45 million children living in a household of relative low income after housing costs are deducted

We took over the giant screen at Farage’s big rally in Birmingham

Child poverty has fallen in Scotland - whilst rising sharply in the UK. Absolute child poverty in Scotland fell from 23% to 17% - the lowest figure in 30 years. SNP Scottish Government policies are working to deliver on our top priority of eradicating child poverty.

Byline Times: ‘Trump’s Betrayal of America’s Closest Allies Should Be a Wake Up Call for the UK’ bylinetimes.com/2025/03/27/t...

Hits the nail on the head for me.

A narrative is recited almost everywhere: that Rachel Reeves is being "forced" to cut benefits, and is faced with "hard choices" or "no choice". This story, a staple of neoliberal doctrine, is completely false, as @richardjmurphy.bsky.social explains: www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/03...

As an aside, because I’m appalled by Labours benefit reform, there was ZERO real engagement or outrage when the Tories killed hundreds of thousands with austerity and put 4m kids in poverty. But, 250k more people in poverty (including 50k children) to save a small amount is contemptible, frankly.

To Labour MPs who support the targetting of the poor and vulnerable instead of the rich. You should be well and truly ashamed You are not fit to be members of the party that built the welfare state I am disgusted by your acquiescence www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live...

I wonder whether Governments - here Labour but they're all the same - think, or even care, about how this kind of rank dishonesty (brutally exposed by @tomroyston.bsky.social) obliterates trust in politics?

I guess us Scots are expendable!

BREAKING 🚨 Can you guess which 5 MPs have taken the highest total donations from people+companies linked to the private health sector between 2023-2025? 1. Wes Streeting - £179,575 2. Yvette Cooper - £165,439 3. Shabana Mahmood - £136,168 4. Tom Tugendhat - £106,297 5. Rachel Reeves - £94,043 ...

Things are not getting better. Labour are on track to LOWER living standards by the next election. An average family in the UK could be £1,400-a-year poorer by 2030, according to analysis by @jrf-uk.bsky.social.

It would be bad enough to see your country destroyed by an evil genius. But an evil moron, that's just embarrassing.

In the upside down world of the 'Labour' Party it is contemplating cutting the meagre taxes that US tech giants pay, taxes that were introduced by the Conservative Party. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Aye America. What's wrong with you all?

'We're cutting state support to push you into work and raising the taxes that reduce the number of jobs for you.' on.ft.com/4itGYyf

He used the Grangemouth workers when it suited him and now he's using the workers at Fergusons. Has there ever been a more shallow and sociopathic opportunist of a politician than Anas Sarwar in Scottish politics?

So is this the “Change”Labour has in mind? Scots have better options!

Never a truer word spoken.

New UK minimum wage for an over-21 full-time worker will be £22,222 a year before tax and NIC. A single person needs to earn £28,000 a year for minimum acceptable std of living. A couple with 2 children needs £69,400. Millions in poverty. Save for pension, buy home? Poverty institutionalized.

Most people prefer progressive policies. Labour is no longer a party of progressive policies. And the fact that it refuses to discuss our right to self determination...

Welp, there goes the US defense industry.
