My favorite weekend newsletter lately. Thanks a lot for sharing and pouring your energy into it Thorsten.

I've finished my article about the Plotter Notebook system finally and plan to publish it in a few days. It's approximately around 3800 words and I tried to capture almost everything. Looking forward to sharing it soon.

Weekend mood. Started on a new blog post about my new note-taking system and how I use it in my daily life. Stay tuned.

That’s how I feel. X on the other hand is full chaos.

So far I’ve finished 5-6 books this year. Currently reading “Bullshit Jobs” by David Graeber (and “Debt” in parallel). And here are the books I still want to read. Not sure when but I’ll finish them eventually.

My first Sinn: the 556 I F.A.Z. Edition.

I’ve build my latest keyboard, the Kyria Halcyon. One thing I immediately realized is that I miss the number row. I was already using a numpad layer, but the issue is switching between tabs using cmd + numbers. I need to find a solution for this. If not, I'll pass on this keyboard.

It’s ready. Keyboard is Mode Encore Series 2.

Installing the Gestalt keycaps from Akuko Labs.

Two inks, same paper. The Montblanc Blue Permanent performs better than the Lamy Blue/Black with my Lamy 2000. This is a 15 year old Moleskine that I continue using it, but my newer notebooks are from different brands (Leuchtturm, Maruman Mnemosyne and Midori). Anyway I really liked this ink.

i heard about the news of japanese edition coming out a week after i came back from japan. it was such a pleasant surprise. now i love the cover and obi design too! thank you @freddi.bsky.social! i can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy. ❤️

Spread the load of updating a count column by updating one of N rows in a table (random each time). To get the total count for some field you sum all rows. Means putting counter values in a dedicated table but pretty neat way to increase throughput and not MySQL specific.

The Tokio Lamp during the day. I can’t stop looking at, probably my favorite lamp nowadays. Also it perfectly fits the vibe of my Vitsoe furniture.
