Mostly I just do something other than writing. But I also celebrate with minor luxuries: a gourmet beer, baking, or some downtime with my Kindle. They're usually enough of a celebration and to keep the mix of euphoria and saudade in check. #HorrorWritersChat

My favourite brainstorming spot is my bedroom window. It's an emergency escape window so it opens all the way. I love standing there, a tea/coffee/hot chocolate (depending on my mood) sitting on the window sill next to me as I watch the world go by. Bonus if it's raining 🥰 #HorrorWritersChat

I like going to the beach out of season when there aren’t that many people around, either finding a quiet spot to sit down and think, or if the weather isn’t great, sitting in a café with a coffee or hot chocolate. The sound of the waves are really calming. #HorrorWritersChat
