Rest in peace, Peter David. A great writer whose work I’ve loved all my life & who was nothing but wonderful for the many yrs at Marvel that I got to work w/him. From Star Trek to X-Factor to Supergirl & more, he has an unreal amount of must reads. Sending love to his family during this time.

This X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda Omnibus cover irrationally bothers me so much because the perfect image already exists - the original, AKA one of the greatest comic book promotional images ever. And I love Cyclops - but he isn’t needed there AND (nerd alert) that wasn’t his costume at the time.

Men in comics have an entire machine designed to protect them from bad behavior - from the way they flaunt their infidelity at conventions to the way they ghost any accountability for the harm they knowingly cause so many people, with the protection of others whoturn a blind eye because of “fame.”
