My shower thoughts of the day: A spoon is just a miniature shovel intended for food like cereal. Also, water cannot be wet; rather, it makes other things wet by simply attaching to them instead. Examples include lactate material, which we then call Milk instead of wet lactate. You're welcome! ^w^

I've had an Oculus Rift CV1 sitting in my closet collecting dust, so I thought I'd pull it out and give VRchat a try. Long story short I enjoyed the experience, despite the CV1 clearly not being up to the task. Then on Christmas my family sent me money so I used it to buy a new avatar.

Yesterday the maintenance man came to put in a new box. Building owner finally paid up. Inspector was also supposed to show up. They didn't. Supposedly coming in today. Not going to hold my breath until it happens.

The Texas power grid is privately owned across the entire state by one company. They own the physical power lines and distribution units. They just rent out the "privilege" for other power companies such as G.E. and TXU to provide power through it. Oncore cut my power. Had no power since 11/25/2024.

When it rains it pours. The property manager had a conversation with the owner of the building I live in. Found out two things. One. They physically live in another country. Two, because of that, it doesn't physically affect them so they couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. Still no power.

I'm still currently without power. Had to move into my dad's house temporarily because the property manager didn't have any vacancies. She tried to chew Oncore out for cutting the power without even notifying her and attempted to get them to restore the power. Oncore wouldn't budge.

Last I was having fluctuations in power so I called Oncore to fix it since they provide most of the power here in Texas and not the U.S. grid. Well they couldn't detect a problem and said ut was on my end and hung up. Thought that was the end of it. 10 minutes later the power goes out.
