I hate when I listen to a song by a band I don't know and it has a really nice hook, and I'm like "wow, these guys have potential" and then it turns out the hook was the outlier and not potential

Complete luxury problem, but I often spend so much time agonizing over whether something is worth the price, that I end up wasting hours doing nothing and going over it, and it probably would’ve been more worthwhile to spend the money and quickly realize that it wasn’t worth it.

Not all questions are scientific questions. But if you want to use scientific studies to bolster your position, make sure you represent them correctly. Using weak or misrepresented scientific evidence to argue a non-scientific point isn't just dishonest, it's also unnecessary.
