I’m glad it resonated with you. A real favourite of mine.

One more for you Andrew. Trying to be very selective, given that you're inundated, so this may be my second & final suggestion: Rafael Anton Irisarri – "A Fragile Geography." I believe this to be a masterpiece - irrespective of genre - but it qualifies as 'drone'. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZRj...

down to this vast, ominous yet strangely comforting cloud of sonic mass. It’s an enormous sounding record - far from the gentler drone recordings of Oliveros or Radigue, but somehow just as blissful and transcendental.

1/2 Oh, I can’t wait for this Andrew! What a treat. I may come back to this with more recommendations, but the immediate one that comes to mind having just woken up is Yellow Swans’ incredible “Going Places.” I believe it is the product of 100 hours of recordings whittled.. youtu.be/euHoHdpGOa0?...

This was definitely quite expensive, but then again there are none for sale on Discogs!

Nice! This one has a little crackle in places but it’s a UK original and sounds lovely

Sorry Nick 🙌

Pretty sure a lot of that has to do with the effects of Brexit that kicked in around the same time!

So good isn’t it? At first listen I remember thinking it was a bit too gentle, but I gave it another chance (thankfully) and it became an all time favourite.

This band is the reason I don't feel I'm missing out not listening to Nick Cave - not that they are in any way derivative or similar really - just achieve a fairly equivalent atmosphere. Rome are far more interesting to my ears anyway.

There are very few jazz records that can compete with this for £10.

Did a long walk today and lost count of the number of black bags tied to tree branches. Makes me so mad!
