YEAH it was

omg. And when Eliza is teaching Philip at the beginning of Take a Break, he deviates on seven. I CAN’T

Fantastic thread

I just bit into a chocolate custard tart made by French nuns, and sacre merde, I’m gonna cry.

WUT

I’m petty enough to enjoy this quite a bit.

Cheerfully hitting the print button with my middle finger to prep flyers for our new undergraduate DEI certificate program, polishing up the pronouns in my .sig file, letting the DGS know where the empty offices I have keys to are in case of an ICE visit, etc. etc.

Seriously, why didn’t I do this years ago? Easy fretting in C, tiny enough that I can schlump down in a chair with it resting on my tits and yodel every 4-chord anthem that pops into my head. Strings are so light that my fingers aren’t even sore. I haven’t felt this chill in months.

I just went down a half-hour rabbit hole in this thread and emerged refreshed.

I just bought a ukulele. I’m finding it therapeutic.

My dog died yesterday, and I’m real mopey about it.

Poor chonker BABY

Thank you! They go together so well in the pot, I didn’t realize they shouldn’t go together in the pantry. (And totally here for Undergroundhog Day)

This Fiona Apple narrated explainer PSA on how to film (and release footage from, not livestream) ICE arrests is exactly what we need from people with production skills right now and is worth about 3 million celebrity “imagine” covers in terms of survival utility

ME: I like to keep my posts mellow as a chill refuge from The Insanity ALSO ME: This thread is exquisite

Love this for Chicago

Jenny

Just realized that it’s a major chord on “nine” in Ten Duel Commandments and a minor chord on “nine” in The World Was Wide Enough, and yes I’m still thinking about it all 8 years later, why do you ask.

If you see this, quote post with flowers from your gallery. 🌱🌿 #nativeplants

I'm not teaching my grad course 'Civil Resistance: How It Works' this semester. But here is an abridged version of the course schedule, readings, and films I used the last time I taught it (in 2022). Just in case it's useful. drive.google.com/file/d/14RRJ...
