I've been taking pictures of my son with his friends before we move to make a photo album for him, and yesterday he asked me to take a picture of him with his favorite tree. Because of course he has a favorite tree.

Moving is such a wild experience. It feels like the smashing together of time accelerating and time stopping. How many times have I disassociated? Who knows. I feel like I've already dumped so much stuff, and I have so much more to ditch.

A quick update: I've made the decision for my son and me to move back to be with my parents. On the one hand, it was an extremely difficult decision; on the other, it really didn't feel like a decision at all. I'm grieving over leaving my friends, church, and neighborhood.
