Maybe the closest is "X Formerly Twitter". 😂 I just have to add the modifier as that's the full site name.

This could have been done for COVID.

Mystery disease... 🤔

Best part of Bluesky has to be, "wait I can actually post, reply, and reblog!?" There isn't some weird daily quota? Hopefully like the pre-Musk Twitter or maybe just Twitter as it's now "X Formerly Twitter".

The most interesting things I realized about Twitter were (1) how much science you could potentially learn (2) how your responses could be noticed by the people you were commenting on (creators, experts, etc...) (3) how great a resource it was for crises/emergencies.

When your amazing Long C-19 patients want to share moments of love and reciprocal love and kindness... To be sure.... This makes everything worthwhile 💖💖 You know who you are, My Darling Person 😘

This is the same magazine that had an article saying letting kids be infected with COVID was fine or something, because there were quite a few diseases that were nicer in children than adults (e.g. Chicken Pox). My vague recollection of history was children tended to die a lot from diseases.

Too bad no one ran pointing those things out. 🤷

So weird to see so many of the people I follow on Twitter on BlueSky. 😮 Would be amazing to see this place become a thriving landscape.

an overlooked aspect of all these “bluesky is an echo chamber” pieces is that the writers bizarrely think that the only reason people use social media is to talk about politics, which is true only for a subset of users

Here's to hoping! People laughed at me for saying I learned about COVID via Twitter, but Twitter and scientists seemed to weirdly go together. Unlike Reddit, OG Twitter had VERIFIED people. Maybe they were spewing nonsense but they had the credentials they said they had.

The progress of the state. 😮

Hey Bluesky!! Fun. How to prove it’s really me?

Hope BlueSky is like old school Twitter.

Hello Bluesky.
